When factories dye yarn for textile production, an extra stock is often made just in case – but much of this yarn ends up unused. Odds & Ends textiles are designed to make full use of these scraps and create endless, unexpected color combinations.

Collections & Colors

Odds & Ends collections are produced in batches. The factory collects surplus materials and uses these colors to create a new design, which is then put into production. The precise design is just the starting point – during production, some of the residual materials are used up and replaced with similar colors.

Therefore, the images you see are an indicative representation of how the textiles look, but there will be slight variations within each batch.

Washing and care instructions

All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 30°C in the washing machine's cotton program together with similar colours. To preserve the intensity of the colors, an organic detergent is recommended for colored washing.

To extend the life of the textiles, air drying is recommended, but terrycloth products such as soft towels – especially those with a velor surface – may benefit from an occasional tumble dryer on medium heat to soften the fibers without the use of chemical fabric softeners.

If you live in an area with chalky water, you can soften both your textiles and washing machine by adding citric acid or vinegar to the rinse cycle from time to time.

Loose Threads

This product is woven with terry loops to ensure a soft and absorbent quality. Newly woven terry loops can be more prone to loose threads, so be careful with jewelry when first worn.

If a thread should come loose, never pull it! Carefully cut it off with sharp scissors – this will prevent further loose threads and will not affect the woven structure of the textiles. After the first few washes, the fibers will become more resistant to snags.

Although resin is natural, it is a potent substance (Colophony). It should be used with caution, especially if you have sensitive skin. We always recommend performing a "patch test" on a small area of skin before using your homemade product on your entire body.

• When the bucket is full, the contents must fully ferment for 2 weeks before emptying.
• When you emptying the bucket, you can fold the round piston together so that it forms a semicircle and use it to scrape the bucket clean of food residues.
• Afterwards you can wash the individual parts in the dishwasher.
• The contents you empty out must be mixed with other soil to become compost. (Some make a small "soil factory" on the balcony or somewhere else).
• The drained liquid, which must be drained from the bottom of the bucket, can be used as fertilizer immediately if it is diluted 1:100.

How strong do you want your coffee pod coffee?

The strength of your coffee depends on which top you use and how strong the coffee is pressed.

The harder you press your coffee, the stronger it becomes.

But the strength of the coffee can also be regulated using the various filters. They must be used based on how finely the coffee is ground.

The finer the coffee is ground, the more holes you need in your filter. So the filter that is on is for very finely ground coffee for e.g. espresso.

How to clean your reusable coffee capsule

It is sufficient for everyday use.

• Use a deep baking tray and place the food cloth on a piece of baking paper on the tray.
• Melt the block of wax over a water bath.
• Spread the mixture on the food cloth with an old brush or a silicone spatula. A relatively hard spatula works best.
• Now put the baking tray with the "waxed substance" in the oven. The wax will spread on the fabric if there are areas that have not been saturated.
• After just a few minutes, take the plate out and air the food cloth back and forth. The cooling is fast.
• NOTE! The wax is hot, so be careful and wear gloves.

Refresh with an iron:

• Cover your ironing board with an old piece of fabric (important!)
• Place the tea towel on a piece of parchment paper.
• Melt the wax over a water bath.
• Spread the mixture on the tea towel with an old brush or a block silicone spatula. A relatively hard spatula works best.
• Place the fabric with the wax mixture on the fabric-covered ironing board and also place a piece of baking paper on top of the cloth with the wax mixture.
• Iron on top of the baking paper and be careful not to get wax on the iron.
• When you are satisfied, lift the food cloth from the baking paper and fan it back and forth. The cooling is fast.
• NOTE! The wax is hot, so be careful and wear gloves.

Tips and good advice:

Use old and old utensils, as the wax mixture can be difficult to get off.

If wax gets on the baking sheet, put it back in the oven (without baking paper and fabric) and when the wax has melted again, remove it with a piece of paper towel. Then wash the plate with soap and water.

Bokashi 2.0 almost sounds like a very fast, Japanese car - but is actually something as down-to-earth as a compost bin for your kitchen.

It's not Japanese either, the Bokashimethod originates from Korea, and is a pretty smart way to make your own free and natural fertiliser.

Bokashi is a special way to compost your bio-waste. Food waste and organic residues decompose in the airtight bucket in just 14 days using compost yeast, microorganisms and enzymes. It is recommended to have two buckets in order to have a continuous flow in the composting, so you can fill one while the other ferments.

The organic waste actually goes through a fermentation - i.e. a chemical fermentation process, and the method is fast and differs quite a lot from traditional ways of composting in large compost containers filled with air.

The food waste becomes nutrition that can be mixed with/added to soil and used in e.g. potted plants, pots and raised beds. The Bokashi liquid, which is drawn from the bottom of the bucket, is fantastic as both fertilizer and drain cleaner.

With the Bokashi compost bin, you have the opportunity to recycle your organic waste from the kitchen and get rid of it in a natural, good and meaningful way. It's a pretty great invention, especially for people who live in an apartment or townhouse with a sparse garden. You can even take it into the garden.

How to use your Bokashi Compost bin

It takes soil to make bokashi compost. It can be from a garden or from pots and raised beds. Bokashi must be mixed with soil to become compost.

• You first sprinkle compost yeast into your empty Bokashibucket, fill your food waste on top, sprinkle again and press the stamp down.
• Then you sprinkle compost yeast on top after each time you fill in (preferably only 1-2 times daily).
• The plunger creates a vacuum inside the bucket when you push it down onto the bucket.
• When you pull it up to add more food scraps, pull the handle, which releases the vacuum so the plate can be lifted out.
• When the bucket is full, the contents must be fully fermented for 2 weeks before emptying.
• When you empty the bucket, you can fold the round plunger, so it forms a semicircle and use it to scrape the bucket clean of food residues.
• Afterwards you can wash the individual parts in the dishwasher.
• The contents you empty out must be mixed with other soil to become compost. (Some make a small "soil factory" on the balcony or somewhere else).
• The drained liquid, which must be drained from the bottom of the bucket, can be used as fertilizer immediately if it is diluted 1:100.

How to use your Stasher Bag

As you have probably already discovered, Stasher Bags can be used for a great deal. Here are some tips for use in the oven, microwave, sous vide pot and freezer.

Stasher in the oven: Place your open bag on a baking tray and put it in the oven. We recommend heating at a maximum of 210 degrees. And leave the bag slightly open so that the steam can escape.Stasher in the microwave: Leave the bag open here too when you heat food in the microwave. If you are going to make popcorn, we recommend a Stasher Stand-up. It gives a little more space to pop.Stasher in Sous vide pot: Put the food in the bag and slowly lower it into the water. The heat causes the air to seep out of the bag and will create a vacuum around the food. Close the bag and make sure it is completely closed when it is in the water. Prepare as you normally would, but now completely without plastic.Stasher in the freezer: Use Stasher Bags to freeze your food in. They are brilliant for leftovers from dinner or for wet food such as fruit or meat. Stasher Bags do not take up much space in the freezer and since they are transparent, they provide a good overview.

Tips for Stasher Bags

Write on your Stasher Bag with a whiteboard pen. It comes off easily in the wash

Your Stasher Bag may be discolored by certain foods (tomato and the like). A little smell can also be transferred if you have used your stasher bag for strong foods. Both parts can be remedied with a little baking soda and lemon.

If they get a little discolored over time, you can use vinegar and baking soda to remove them, and if that doesn't work, we have another tip up our sleeve as well.

If you have Stasher bags in Clear or lighter versions, the best way to remove discoloration is to actually let the sun do the work. If you leave your bags out in the sun for a few hours or 3, the UV rays will work to remove the discolouration.

Of course, it requires that it is up in the sky.

You can also remove food smells by putting your stasher bags in the oven at 175 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Make sure they cool down again before handling them.

You can also soak them in hot water with a little vinegar and salt for an hour. It can also help.

And then the best tip is probably just to use it again and again and again :-)

Cleaning your Stasher Bag

Please put your Stasher bag in the dishwasher. It can easily withstand that.

Otherwise you can clean it by hand washing.
