• Use a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleach. For example, Cocoon's soap berry or a delicate detergent with or without probiotics
• Do not use fabric softener
• Dry the kapok pad immediately after wash

• Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated

Usage and Care
To ensure the best oral hygiene and take good care of your child's first teeth, we recommend following these instructions:

Brushing Technique
Apply a small amount of Jack N' Jill Natural Certified toothpaste to the brush. Brush teeth in small, circular motions using minimum pressure.

We recommend using the brush with Jack N' Jill's mild and fluoride-free natural toothpaste, which is safe if swallowed. See our range of kids' toothpaste right here.

Duration
Dentists recommend brushing for 2 minutes, twice a day after meals. Ensure all teeth are cleaned thoroughly on all sides.

Hygiene
Rinse the toothbrush thoroughly before and after use. It is important to let the bristles air dry afterwards. Always store the brush upright and away from the toilet area.

Sterilization
To keep the toothbrush extra clean and extend its lifespan, we recommend sterilizing it every 2 or 3 weeks. Immerse the toothbrush head in 10% hydrogen peroxide (available from pharmacies) for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water and allow to air dry.

NOTE: Due to the natural corn starch material, this brush cannot be sterilized in boiling water or a microwave.

Replacement
Replace the toothbrush every 6-8 weeks. Always remember to replace the toothbrush after an illness, as bacteria can remain on the bristles.

Disposal
When it's time for a new brush, break off the toothbrush head. The rest of the handle can be placed in your compost bin or organic waste, where it typically breaks down in about 90 days.

NOTE: Due to the natural corn starch material, this brush cannot be sterilized in boiling water or a microwave.

Replacement
Replace the toothbrush every 6-8 weeks. Always remember to replace the toothbrush after an illness, as bacteria can remain on the bristles.

Disposal
When it's time for a new brush, break off the toothbrush head. The rest of the handle can be placed in your compost bin or organic waste, where it typically breaks down in about 90 days.

What is platinum silicone?
The plate is made from 100% platinum silicone – the purest form of silicone available. Silicone is cured using a catalyst, and this is where platinum silicone differs from regular silicone: curing happens with platinum instead of peroxide. This gives a more stable material without the residues that peroxide curing can leave behind.

Platinum silicone vs. regular silicone
Regular food-grade silicone is typically cured with peroxide, and while it's safe to use, the process can leave small amounts of residue in the material. In some cases, this can cause a slight taste or odour that settles into the silicone over time. Platinum silicone is cured with platinum instead, a precious-metal catalyst that doesn't leave that kind of residue.

The result is a cleaner material that doesn't absorb odour or taste from previous meals – whether it's been in contact with spicy food, tomato sauce or fruit. That's why platinum silicone is the standard for baby and children's products, where purity matters most.

How the suction cups work
Underneath the plate sit 4 firm suction cups that create suction against the tabletop when the plate is pressed down lightly. This makes it significantly harder for your child to tip or move the plate during the meal. The suction cups work best on smooth, hard surfaces such as wood, laminate or stone – on rough or porous surfaces, or if the surface is very wet or greasy, the grip may be weaker.

100% free from harmful chemicals
The plate is free from BPA, BPS, PFAS and phthalates. It's both dishwasher and microwave-safe, so it can go straight from reheating to the table and then into the dishwasher without any fuss.

Frequently asked questions about suction plates

Is platinum silicone safe for children?
Yes. Platinum silicone is the purest form of silicone and is free from BPA, BPS, PFAS and phthalates. The material doesn't release chemicals, taste or odour into the food.

What's the difference between platinum silicone and regular silicone?
Regular silicone is cured with peroxide, which can leave small residues in the material. Platinum silicone is cured with platinum instead, making it cleaner and free from absorbed odour or taste from previous meals.

Is the plate dishwasher and microwave-safe?
Yes, the plate is both dishwasher and microwave-safe.

Why doesn't the suction always hold?
The suction cups need a smooth, dry, hard surface for a good grip. On rough, porous or very wet surfaces – or if there's grease or crumbs underneath – the grip can be weaker.

How big is the plate?
The plate measures 20 cm x 3 cm and holds a full portion, while still being easy for a child to overview at the table.

Tips for use

Massage gently
Use circular motions if you wish to loosen beginning cradle cap. You may combine this with a drop of organic oil.

Cleaning
Clear the brush of loose hair after use. If the bristles become dusty, they can be gently wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid submerging the entire wooden handle in water.

Organic toothpaste for children from Jack n' Jill

This toothpaste is fluoride-free and has a strawberry flavor.

The toothpaste is available in 6 varieties: Neutral, banana, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackcurrant.

The toothpaste is great for very young children who have to practice brushing their teeth and may not be able to spit the toothpaste out again.

The toothpaste contains Xylitol instead of fluoride. Xylitol can inhibit the growth of bacteria in the mouth.

In addition, the toothpaste has been added organic motherwort, which helps soothe the gums.

The toothpaste is colorless and does not foam. And it is sugar-free, SLS-free, gluten-free, preservative-free and the packaging is BPA-free.

This fluoride-free toothpaste from Jack n' Jill may supplemented with a toothpaste with fluoride once a day, which controls the brushing and trains your child to spit out.

The toothpaste can also be used at the beginning of brushing, when the child wants to - and then you can brush afterwards with a toothpaste with fluoride.

Organic kapok is, in my eyes, a luxury product of the very best. A 100% natural, durable and chemical-free product for your baby.

Kapok is a natural fiber that grows on the fruits of kapok trees in the tropical rainforests.

Kapok insulates, regulates temperature and transports moisture away from the body. Beautiful properties in a sleeping environment.

Kapok can be used by allergy sufferers, as it contains an antibacterial substance that house dust mites cannot live in.

A kapok mattress is firm as recommended by experts for babies and children.

Kapok mattresses do not contain mould, flame retardants or fluorine substances, which unfortunately most other mattresses do. And since the mattress cannot be washed before use, a natural and organic alternative is really worth a lot.
