Cocoon Company

PLB-040045

Kapok pillow for baby

Head pillow for baby in organic and natural kapok.

This pillow is flat and measures 40x45 cm.

Small children and babies don't really need pillows. Especially not if they sleep alone in a cot. But a flat baby head pillow can be nice in the pram or if you think the child needs extra support.

The pillow is hand-filled with untreated organic kapok, covered with a spring of 100% organic certified cotton.

The kapok pillow is both insulating and temperature-regulating and perfect in a sleeping environment.

Maintenance of your kapok pillow

Kapok is a natural fiber with quite unique properties.

And they are definitely worth taking good care of.

As a general rule, you should only wash your kapok pillow if it is strictly necessary.
The kapok fibers can be damaged by washing and clump together, so we do not recommend washing, unless the pillow cannot be used without it.
In general use, simply airing is sufficient. the pillow.

If the stains are smaller, we recommend spot washing.

But if it is necessary to wash your kapok pillow, do it like this:

How to wash your kapok pillow

  • Wash preferably at 40 degrees to protect the fiber. However, 60 degrees is possible if necessary.
  • Choose a short washing program, as the kapok cannot stand being wet for too long
  • Choose centrifugation at 1200 revolutions to get as much water as possible out of the kapok
  • Use a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleach. For example, Cocoon's soap berry or a delicate detergent with or without probiotics
  • Do not use fabric softener
  • Dry the kapok pad immediately after wash

How to dry your kapok pillow

  • The kapok pillow is dried alone in the tumble dryer
  • Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated
  • Do not use tennis balls as they break the fiber
  • Choose a 30 minute program with medium heat. Look at the kapok pillow and repeat until it is slightly damp.
  • Let the kapok pillow dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone.
  • Be careful not to dry too long in the dryer, as this can reduce the life of the fiber.

Kapok mattress for pram - 37x96 cm

Cocoon Company

MAT-037096

Kapok mattress from Cocoon Company

Organic kapok is, in my eyes, a luxury product of the very best. A 100% natural, durable and chemical-free product for your baby.

Kapok is a natural fiber that grows on the fruits of kapok trees in the tropical rainforests.

Kapok insulates, regulates temperature and transports moisture away from the body. Beautiful properties in a sleeping environment.

Kapok can be used by allergy sufferers, as it contains an antibacterial substance that house dust mites cannot live in.

A kapok mattress is firm as recommended by experts for babies and children.

Kapok mattresses do not contain mould, flame retardants or fluorine substances, which unfortunately most other mattresses do. And since the mattress cannot be washed before use, a natural and organic alternative is really worth a lot.

This kapok mattress for prams measures 37x96x3.5 cm.

The kapok mattress is hand-stuffed with untreated organic kapok, covered with a spring of 100% organically certified cotton.
Since it is hand-stuffed, there may be some variation in the goals.

Maintenance of your kapok mattress

It is a good idea to give your kapok mattress a little air from time to time.

You do this by placing it on its side from time to time.

If you have a bed with a slatted base without air flow, you must pay particular attention to airing your mattress.

Because the slatted base will not be able to transport moisture and heat away from the mattress and in the worst case this can result in fungal spores at the bottom of your mattress.

The mattress is hand-stuffed with loose natural fibres, and therefore the mattress must be maintained once in a while as needed, where you put the mattress on its edge and massage/press the fiber from the edge towards the middle, where the mattress is most stressed during use. Otherwise, the mattress can form a hole where the kapok fiber is pressed the most.

Junior wool duvet in organic merino wool - 100x140

Cocoon Company

Maintenance of your woolen duvet from Cocoon Company

A woolen duvet should not be washed. The lanolin in the wool is because the lanolin in the wool is important for the duvet's temperature-regulating function - and the lanolin is quietly washed out by the duvet when it is washed.

On the other hand, it is a super good idea to air the duvet regularly. It is good for the humidity in the duvet and for the lightness. If you can air it out in freezing weather, it is the absolute best thing you can do.

If an accident has occurred, however, we recommend that you spot wash the duvet.

Alternatively, you can of course also send it to be cleaned if a more thorough cleaning of the duvet is necessary.

The wool duvet must never be tumbled dry, but must instead be left to dry.

Organic kapok is a natural product of the very best. A 100% chemical-free and natural product for your baby.

Kapok is a natural fiber that grows in tropical rainforests.

Kapok insulates, regulates temperature and transports moisture away from the body. Fantastic properties in a sleeping environment.

A kapok mattress is firm as recommended by experts for babies and children.

Kapok can be used by allergy sufferers, as the fiber contains an antibacterial substance that house dust mites cannot live in.

Kapok mattresses do not contain mould, flame retardants or fluorine substances, which most other conventional mattresses unfortunately do. And since the mattress cannot be washed before use, a natural and ecological alternative is really worth a lot.

Maintenance of your kapok mattress

It is a good idea to give your kapok mattress a little air from time to time.

You do this by placing it on its side from time to time.

If you have a bed with a slab base without air flow, you must pay special attention to airing your mattress.

For the sheet base will not be able to transport moisture and heat away from the mattress and in the worst case this can result in fungal spores at the bottom of your mattress.

The mattress is hand-stuffed with loose natural fibres, and therefore the mattress must be maintained once in a while as needed, where you put the mattress on its side and massage/press the fiber from the edge towards the middle, where the mattress is most stressed during use. Otherwise, the mattress can form a hole where the kapok fiber is pressed the most.

Or you can buy an organic kapok roll-top mattress to lie on top of your current mattress. It's a simple way to take advantage of kapok's special properties.

Kapok roll-top mattresses insulate, regulate temperature and transport moisture away from the body. These are properties that are super ideal for small children who may have difficulty regulating their body temperature.

This mattress topper for a Babybay bed measures 41x81cm.The mattress topper is hand-filled with untreated organic kapok, covered with a spring of 100% organic certified cotton.

Maintenance of your kapok roll mattress

Kapok is a natural fiber with quite unique properties.

And they are definitely worth taking good care of.

As a general rule, you should only wash your kapok roll mattress if it is strict necessary.

If the stains are smaller, we recommend spot washing.

If it is necessary to wash your kapok roll mattress, do it like this:

How to wash your kapok roll mattress

  • Wash preferably at 40 degrees to protect the fibre. 60 degrees is, however, possible if necessary.
  • Choose a short washing program, as the kapok cannot stand being wet for too long
  • Choose centrifugation at 1200 revolutions to get as much water as possible out of the kapok
  • Use a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleach. For example, Cocoon's soap berry or a fine detergent with or without probiotics
  • Do not use fabric softener
  • Dry the kapok roller mattress immediately after wash

How to dry your kapok mattress pad

  • The kapok mattress pad is dried only in the dryer
  • Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated
  • Do not use tennis balls as they break the fiber
  • Choose a 30 minute program with medium heat. Look at the kapok roll mattress and repeat until it is slightly damp.
  • Let the kapok roll mattress dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone.
  • Be careful not to dry too long in the dryer, as this can reduce the life of the fiber.

Junior wool pillow - 40x45 cm

Cocoon Company

WPJ-040045

Wool pillow from Cocoon

A wool pillow from Cocoon Company is one of the softest things you can imagine.

The wool pillow is made of organic merino wool and organic GOTS certified cotton

This pillow measures 40x45 cm. and is padded a little extra so that it is suitable for slightly older children.

A wool pillow is a soft and temperature-regulating choice. The wool's content of lanolin enables it to absorb moisture from the body - without the pillow becoming damp in itself.

It is also the lanolin that makes the wool pillow antibacterial and ensures that house dust mites cannot live in it.

Wool pillows from Cocoon Company are produced in Europe. And the wool itself comes from organic merino sheep from South America.

South America is a super good climate for sheep. In that climate, the sheep are not affected by parasites and flies, which makes it completely unnecessary to spray them or carry out the cruel mulesing, as the sheep generally just thrive.

Maintenance of your wool pillow from Cocoon Company

A wool pillow should not be washed. The lanolin in the wool is important for the pillow's temperature-regulating function - and the lanolin is quietly washed out of the pillow when it is washed.

On the other hand, it is a very good idea to air the pillow regularly. It is good for the humidity in the pillow and for the lightness. If you can air it in freezing weather, it is the absolute best thing you can do.

If an accident has occurred, however, we recommend that you spot wash the pillow.

Alternatively, you can of course also send it to be cleaned if a more thorough cleaning of the pillow is necessary.

The wool pillow must never be tumbled dry, but must instead be left to dry.

This makes the goose an ideal companion for children needing relief from fever, stomach ache, or simply wanting a bit of extra warmth in the pram on cold days. The spelt hulls produce a soothing effect and make a pleasant, rustling sound when you cuddle the goose.

When the spelt hulls need warming, they are wrapped in a tea towel or towel and heated in a conventional oven for 10-15 minutes or on a warm radiator until comfortably warm to the touch.

Best in test
The heating pad teddy bears from Senger Naturwelt have been awarded several times as "Best in test" by ÖKO TEST, which is the German counterpart to the Danish Consumer Council TÆNK.

How to use heating pad the teddy bear
Inside the goose's stomach is a bag filled with cherry stones, which can be taken out and either heated or cooled as required. This makes the goose an ideal companion for children who need relief from a fever, stomach ache or simply want a little extra warmth in the pram on cold days. The cherry stones create a calming effect and make a pleasant crackling sound when you hug the goose.

When the cherry bag needs to be warmed, wrap it in a tea towel or towel and heat it in a regular oven for 10-15 minutes or on a warm radiator until it is pleasantly warm to the touch. The bag's cooling effect can be achieved by placing it in the freezer for approx. 30 minutes.

Kapok mattress for lift - 31x75 cm

Cocoon Company

MAT-031075

Kapok mattress from Cocoon Company

Organic kapok is something very special. A 100% natural and chemical-free product for your baby.

Kapok is a natural fiber that grows wild in the tropical rainforests.

Kapok is insulating, temperature regulating and transports moisture away from the body. Fantastic properties in a sleeping environment.

Kapok is recommended for allergy sufferers, as it contains a natural antibacterial substance that house dust mites cannot live in.

Kapok mattresses do not contain formaldehyde, flame retardants or fluorine substances, which unfortunately most other mattresses on the market do. And since you can't wash your mattress before use, a natural and organic alternative is really valuable.

A kapok mattress is firm as recommended by experts for babies and children.

This kapok mattress for lift measures 31x75x3.5 cm.

It also fits the Naturkind pram model Lux.

The kapok mattress is hand-filled with untreated organic kapok, covered with a spring of 100% organically certified cotton.
Since it is hand-stuffed, there may be some variation in the measurements.

Maintenance of your kapok mattress

It is a good idea to give your kapok mattress a little air from time to time.

You do this by placing it on its side once in a while.

If you have a bed with a slab base without air flow, you must pay particular attention to airing your mattress.

Because the slab base will not be able to transport moisture and heat away from the mattress and in the worst case this can result in fungal spores at the bottom of your mattress.

The mattress is hand-stuffed with loose natural fiber, and therefore the mattress must be maintained once in a while as needed, where you put the mattress on its side and massage/press the fiber from the edge and towards the center, where the mattress is most stressed during use. Otherwise, the mattress can form a hole where the kapok fiber is pressed the most.
