Meishai was founded in 2021 by Danish hairdresser Katja Rosasco with a vision to create luxurious hair care that is safe and effective for everyone – also for people with allergies and sensitive skin Katja herself grew up with allergies, and her passion for hair often faced challenges, as many products could not meet her needs. With more than 10 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, she understood the need for products that combined uncompromising quality with consideration for allergies and sensitive skin.
The brand name ”Meishai” reflects Katja's personal approach to beauty. ”Mei” comes from Japanese and symbolizes elegance, beauty and simplicity. ”Shai” is Hebrew and means ”gift”, and together Meishai captures the idea of ??beauty as a valuable and thoughtful gift, created with care and respect.
