How long can the wash nuts be used?

The wash nuts can be used for approx. 5 washes - depending on the temperatures you wash at.

High temperatures will release more saponin from the soap berries than low temperatures.

When the soap berries become light and soft, they are exhausted.

Please put the used soap berries in the compost after use.

Silicone stretch lids

These stretch lids are the most convenient, user-friendly alternative to disposable food packaging, produced with the environment in mind.
The pack contains 6 different sizes of elastic silicone lids. Silicone food lids are a very gentle alternative to cling film, aluminum foil and freezer bags. The stretch lid can in many ways do the same thing as plastic - keep your food fresh - but in a much more natural way. It is not only better for the environment, but also for your and your family's health. They are easy to reuse, completely airtight and give off no taste.

Pandoo's stretch lid is made of pure food-grade silicone, approved by the Danish Food Agency. You can safely store your food under it.

The silicone lids can be stretched, so they can cover quite a bit more than what the measurement suggests.

How to use the silicone lid

Simply pull the silicone lid over the glasses and bowls in which you store food in your fridge. The lids are elastic and 100% airtight when closed.

The silicone lids can also withstand heating in the oven up to 220^o and the microwave, and they are suitable for freezing your food. The silicone lids are transparent and therefore give a good overview of the contents.

Pandoo's food lid can be cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand.

Instructions
WOOL & SILK detergent is super concentrated – you only need 15 ml for a normal wash and 20 ml for very dirty clothes or hard water. This means that one bottle is enough for 33 washes. The detergent can be used for both hand washing and machine washing at temperatures from 30 °C. (Note: 60 °C is only recommended in case of infections).

How to use beeswax paper

• The beeswax cloth is folded around the food or bowl.
• The warmth from your hands softens the material, so it easily moulds around the food.
• The reusable wrapping paper stiffens again when cooled down, thus holding tightly.
• After use, gently clean your beeswax wrap with alcohol-free soap in cool water using a soft cloth or sponge.
• Dry the wrap with a tea towel without wringing.
• And then it's ready to use again.

• Do not soak your beeswax paper.
• Beeswax wraps should not be used for fresh, unprocessed meat.

How to make your own beeswax paper

You can either make your own beeswax paper from scratch with a piece of thin and lightweight cotton fabric or renew your worn-out beeswax wraps if the wax is wearing off.

Paper glue for children and adults

How to wash the dishcloth
The dishcloth can withstand machine washing at 60°C and tumble drying at medium heat.

Please note that the bags are breathable. This means that wet food waste can evaporate and thereby reduce rotting and bad odours. We therefore recommend that you use a ventilated kitchen bin for the waste bags, so that together with the bags, it can ensure that the food waste evaporates. It is therefore important to empty the bag often, so that it does not remain with wet waste for too long.

The bags do not begin to compost simply with normal storage, but will lose their elasticity over time.

5 million flowers in one candle
It takes an almost unimaginable effort to create a single beeswax candle. Bees must visit nearly 5 million flowers to produce enough wax for just one candle – a journey equivalent to flying two and a half times around the Earth.

During the summer months, up to 60,000 bees in a single colony work hard to collect "sunlight" in the form of nectar and pollen. Over 20 hours, worker bees transform this energy into wax in their stomachs before using it to build intricate honeycombs.

While the wax is originally colorless, it develops its deep golden hue and familiar honey scent over time as nectar and pollen are stored within it.

Advice for your beeswax candles

• Avoid drafts: To ensure a steady flame and prevent the candle from smoking or dripping, it should be placed away from drafts.

• Wick length: The ideal wick length is 10-15 mm. If the wick becomes too long, you can gently trim it.

• Burn time: Allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire surface to melt before extinguishing it – this ensures an even burn.

Over time, a matte coating known as "bloom" may appear on the surface of beeswax candles; this is a natural process proving the purity of the wax. The coating can easily be wiped off with a soft cloth if you prefer a glossy finish.

Kapok is an insulating and temperature-regulating natural material that grows wild in tropical rainforests.

Kapok is recommended for allergy sufferers, as the natural fiber contains a natural antibacterial substance that house dust mites cannot live in.

Kapok mattresses are free of mold shelf, flame retardants and fluorine substances that most other mattresses unfortunately often contain. And since the mattress cannot be washed before use, an organic alternative is really worth a lot.

A kapok mattress is firm as recommended by experts for babies and children.

This junior mattress measures 70x160x7 cm. The kapok mattress is hand-filled with untreated organic kapok, covered with a spring of 100% organically certified cotton.
As it is hand-filled, there may be some variation in the measurements.

Maintenance of your kapok mattress

You do this by placing it on its side once in a while between.

If you have a bed with a slatted base without air flow, you must pay particular attention to airing your mattress.

• Dry the kapok roller mattress immediately after wash

How to dry your kapok mattress pad

• The kapok mattress pad is dried only in the dryer
• Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated
• Do not use tennis balls as they break the fiber
• Choose a 30 minute program with medium heat. Look at the kapok mattress pad and repeat until it is slightly damp.
• Let the kapok mattress pad dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone.
• Be careful not to dry too long in the dryer, as this can reduce the life of the fiber.

How to use your Stasher Bag

Tips for Stasher Bags

Write on your Stasher Bag with a whiteboard pen. It comes off easily in the wash

Your Stasher Bag may be discolored by certain foods (tomato and the like). A little smell can also be transferred if you have used your stasher bag for strong foods. Both parts can be remedied with a little baking soda and lemon.

If they get a little discolored over time, you can use vinegar and baking soda to remove them, and if that doesn't work, we have another tip up our sleeve as well.

If you have Stasher bags in Clear or lighter versions, the best way to remove discoloration is to actually let the sun do the work. If you leave your bags out in the sun for a few hours or 3, the UV rays will work to remove the discolouration.

You can also remove food smells by putting your stasher bags in the oven at 175 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Make sure they cool down again before handling them.

You can also soak them in hot water with a little vinegar and salt for an hour. It can also help.
