Colorful home textiles – made from surplus materials from industry

When factories dye yarn for textile production, an extra stock is often made just in case – but much of this yarn ends up unused. Odds & Ends textiles are designed to make full use of these scraps and create endless, unexpected color combinations.

Collections & Colors

Odds & Ends collections are produced in batches. The factory collects surplus materials and uses these colors to create a new design, which is then put into production. The precise design is just the starting point – during production, some of the residual materials are used up and replaced with similar colors.

Therefore, the images you see are an indicative representation of how the textiles look, but there will be slight variations within each batch.

Colours may vary

As these textiles are produced in small batches from surplus materials, colors may vary. However, the general color palette is always preserved, so that textiles within the same color scale can be easily combined. The product you receive may be identical to or have slight variations compared to the images on this page. The duo set consists of one textile in primarily cold tones and one in primarily warm tones.

Washing and care instructions

All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 30°C in the washing machine's cotton program together with similar colours. To preserve the intensity of the colors, an organic detergent is recommended for colored washing.

To extend the life of the textiles, air drying is recommended, but terrycloth products such as soft towels – especially those with a velor surface – may benefit from an occasional tumble dryer on medium heat to soften the fibers without the use of chemical fabric softeners.

If you live in an area with chalky water, you can soften both your textiles and washing machine by adding citric acid or vinegar to the rinse cycle from time to time.

Loose Threads

This product is woven with terry loops to ensure a soft and absorbent quality. Newly woven terry loops can be more prone to loose threads, so be careful with jewelry when first worn.

If a thread should come loose, never pull it! Carefully cut it off with sharp scissors – this will prevent further loose threads and will not affect the woven structure of the textiles. After the first few washes, the fibers will become more resistant to snags.

 Storage Containers for Daily Needs
The SteelMate set of round steel pots is a flexible solution for both families with children and adults. The small 200 ml pot is ideal for a portion of berries, nuts, or sliced fruit for the lunch box. The larger 400 ml pot is the right size for a small salad, veggies, or dinner leftovers.

The pots have a combined empty weight of just 165 grams, making them lightweight and easy to carry in a school bag or work bag.

Airtight Silicone Lids Keep Food Fresh
Both pots come with a flexible, tight-fitting lid made of food-grade platinum silicone. The lid seals airtight around the steel rim so that food retains its crispness and flavor for longer – sliced fruit won't dry out, and salad stays fresh until lunchtime. The lids are flexible and easy to remove, even for smaller children's hands.

Nestable Containers
When empty, the small 200 ml pot fits inside the large 400 ml one. This applies across the entire range: the smallest pots nest inside the medium ones, and the medium ones nest inside the largest.

If you have multiple sets, they can be nested inside one another to take up the space of just one. The pots can also be stacked on top of each other with their lids on – very practical in the fridge where shelves quickly fill up.

Stainless Steel in LFGB-Certified Quality
The containers are made of 304 (18/8) stainless steel with a smooth, non-porous surface. Stainless steel does not absorb or impart flavor, odor, or color – even after storing strong dressings or colorful foods. The set is LFGB-certified, and all materials coming into contact with food are approved for food contact according to EU regulations.

Cleaning and Usage
Both steel containers and silicone lids are dishwasher safe for daily convenience. Wash the pots thoroughly before first use.

Important note: The pots are not insulated and do not keep food hot or cold on their own. They must never be placed in a microwave, conventional oven, on induction hobs, or over an open flame. Please note that strongly staining spices such as curry and turmeric can leave marks on both the steel and silicone, and these marks may be permanent.

Glass bowl with lid

Glass is the cleanest material in which you can store your food.

It is free of hormone-disrupting substances and other chemicals that can seep into your food.

And it is extremely practical, as you can both freeze your food in it and reheat it in the microwave - without moving the food.

However, the food must thaw before you heat it, as the bowl cannot withstand excessively large temperature differences.

Glass also gives a good overview of your food and your fridge. You can see through it and thus quickly get an overview of the contents of your fridge or freezer and avoid food waste.

The plastic lids are food-grade and made of BPA-free plastic.

This stain remover block is both natural and effective.

It removes stains from your clothes, while being gentle on the environment.

The stain remover block is made from natural plant-based oils and is therefore biodegradable in nature. And then it is a completely vegan alternative.

The stain remover box contains saponified coconut oil, rapeseed oil, soya oil and lychee oil.

The lychee oil gives the stain remover a fantastic scent of citrus.

The lychee oil is antibacterial, but be aware that it contains essential oils, which can be allergenic.

The stain remover also contains borax, which effectively removes dirt and stains.

How to use the stain remover block?

Wet your stained clothes and rub the stain remover block on the stain until the soap suds have reached through the fabric and there are soap suds on both sides.

Let the stain remover work for 10 minutes, after which you can wash the clothes as normally.

For difficult stains such as berries or older stains, it may be necessary to use the stain remover more than once and possibly soak with the stain remover foam.

Wooden pot brush from Biogan.

This pot brush is 100% plastic-free and made exclusively from natural materials. The pot brush core is made of beech wood and the fibers on the brush are made of leaf ribs from the agave cactus.

The brush bristles are resistant to both heat, acid and base.

The pot brush fits very well in the hand and, as the name suggests, is quite suitable for overgrown pot bases.

Maintenance of your wooden pot brush

The pot brush can last a very long time if you make sure to dry it properly when it is not in use.

Put the pot brush in a dry place to dry when it is not in use.

If necessary, give the pot brush a little cooking oil occasionally. It refreshes the wood and makes it more resistant to water.

What is a Stasher Bag?

A Stasher Bag is a reusable and completely sealed silicone bag for storing your food, your toiletries and the like.

It is also brilliant for packed lunches.

A Stasher Bag can replace zip bags or the classic freezer bag and can be used thousands of times times.

Stasher Bags are made of pure platinum silicone, which is the absolute purest form of silicone. It is also called "liquid glass". You can safely store your food in it - including fatty and acidic ones.

How to use your Stasher Bag

As you have probably already discovered, Stasher Bags can be used for a great deal. Here are some tips for use in the oven, microwave, sous vide pot and freezer.

Stasher in the oven: Place your open bag on a baking tray and put it in the oven. We recommend heating at a maximum of 210 degrees. And leave the bag slightly open so that the steam can escape.Stasher in the microwave: Leave the bag open here too when you heat food in the microwave. If you are going to make popcorn, we recommend a Stasher Stand-up. It gives a little more space to pop.Stasher in Sous vide pot: Put the food in the bag and slowly lower it into the water. The heat causes the air to seep out of the bag and will create a vacuum around the food. Close the bag and make sure it is completely closed when it is in the water. Prepare as you normally would, but now completely without plastic.Stasher in the freezer: Use Stasher Bags to freeze your food in. They are brilliant for leftovers from dinner or for wet food such as fruit or meat. Stasher Bags do not take up much space in the freezer and since they are transparent, they provide a good overview.

Tips for Stasher Bags

Your Stasher Bag may be discolored by certain foods (tomato and the like). A little smell can also be transferred if you have used your stasher bag for strong foods. Both parts can be remedied with a little baking soda and lemon.

If they get a little discolored over time, you can use vinegar and baking soda to remove them, and if that doesn't work, we have another tip up our sleeve as well.

If you have Stasher bags in Clear or lighter versions, the best way to remove discoloration is to actually let the sun do the work. If you leave your bags out in the sun for a few hours or 3, the UV rays will work to remove the discolouration.

Of course, that requires it to be out in the sky.

You can also remove food smells by putting your stasher bags in the oven at 175 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Make sure they cool down again before handling them.

You can also soak them in hot water with a little vinegar and salt for an hour. It can also help.

And then the best tip is probably just to use it again and again and again :-)

Cleaning your Stasher Bag

Please put your Stasher bag in the dishwasher. It can easily withstand that.

Otherwise you can clean it by hand washing.

Organic handmade soap bar

This variant with coffee and lemongrass is firming and exfoliating.

It is extra good for those who need a soap that really scrubs clean. You who spend a lot of time in the garden or have otherwise got your hands dirty.

A caring soap, handmade from natural ingredients, that adds moisture to the skin and cares for it during hand washing. The soap has a creamy and dense foam.

The coffee in the soap is "leftovers" from the organic and sustainable coffee roaster at Roskilde Fjord "Just Coffee".

Organic coffee has a high content of antioxidants. The coffee has an exfoliating effect and removes dead skin cells.

Natural lemongrass oil tightens and strengthens the skin tissue. The oil is also known for its anti-inflammation effect.

Coconut oil is antibacterial and very moisturizing.

Rapeseed oil nourishes and moisturizes the skin. The organic cold-pressed rapeseed oil has a naturally high content of vitamin E, which has a softening and protective effect on the skin.

The soap is cold stirred - that is, made in a process called cold saponification - a method that people have used for thousands of years. Cold-stirred soap makes the soap soft, creamy and gentle on the skin.

Size, color and scent may vary a bit.

AsthmaAllergi Danmark recommends solid hand soaps without preservatives for the sample and sensitive skin.

Be aware that this soap can smell a little extra in the bathroom due to the coffee grounds in the soap. So get a soap holder for the one that collects the water, so you don't have to clean up too much after the soap:-)

Thermo lunch box from Klean Kanteen

Cleaning your thermo lunch box

We recommend that you wash your thermo lunch box by hand.

The insulating effect can be damaged by putting it in the dishwasher.

Just use a good dishwasher brush and a little mild dishwasher for daily cleaning.

The lid, on the other hand, you can easily put in the dishwasher. It can be taken apart, as you can see in the last picture in the series of pictures.

Fragrant laundry without chemicals

But instead of falling back to traditional, perfumed washing and fabric softener full of additives and chemicals, you can achieve the same fragrant and fresh experience with these fantastic, mild oils.

It comes in the finest cardboard box in a 20 ml. bottle with drip spout.

Natural fragrance oil

The fragrance oil is therefore 100% natural without the addition of synthetic additives.

The oil can be used alone, diluted with water, or together with our soap berries or with our wool dryer balls.

How to use essential oil for your laundry

• If you use soapberry, you can add a few drops to the cotton bag with soapberry, which must be the washing machine.
• If you use detergent in the "drawer", you can dilute the oil (1:10) with water and add it to the room with fabric softener.
• If the clothes are to be tumble-dried, you can add a few drops to your wool balls. Let them absorb the oil for 10-15 min, for the best result, before putting them in the dryer.

Ready to use. Can be used on alcohol-resistant surfaces. The disinfectant is applied to the tools and surfaces that have been cleaned in advance.

Warning: Highly flammable liquid and vapor. Causes serious eye irritation. If medical attention is needed, bring the container or label with you. Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames. No smoking.
In case of contact with the eyes: Rinse carefully with water for several minutes. Remove any contact lenses if this can be done easily. Continue rinsing. In case of persistent eye irritation: Seek medical attention. Dispose of the contents/container in accordance with the municipal waste regulations.

In addition, a fabric coffee filter is also extremely effective at capturing the coffee oils from the coffee, which are the ones that can cause stomach aches. The coffee oils settle in the filter, which must then be boiled out once in a while - see below.

Copper cloth for cleaning

It must not be used on Teflon and non-stick surfaces, but can easily clean enamel, ceramic glass, porcelain, glass, sinks, ovens, stainless steel, pots and pans.
You can also remove rust from e.g. cutlery.

It has a double layer and therefore has an extra long shelf life. In addition, it can go in the washing machine at 60°C, but it must be in a laundry bag or sock.

The cloth must be wet when used.

It measures 14 x 15 cm

There are two cloths in the package

Liquid detergent from Tierra Verde

This detergent is based on saponin from soap nuts/soap berries, which grow on the Sapindus Mukorosse tree. The wash nuts are, as it were, berries, from which the nuts have been separated. So soap nuts are actually a misleading term, because only the berry is used for soap.

The soap berries contain an organic substance called saponin. Saponin has an ability to dissolve and remove dirt. It is released on contact with water above 30° and works like soap.

The 1000 ml is enough for approx. 33 washing

The detergent does not contain bleach and can therefore be used for both colored and light clothes

How do you use this detergent?

Bleach and stain remover from Sonett

Stain removal and bleaching with pure oxygen. It both works and is gentle on both the clothes and the environment.

This bleaching agent and stain remover works at temperatures above 50 degrees.

And it works by sodium carbonate being broken down into oxygen during the washing process. The oxygen has a bleaching effect.

The stain remover is particularly effective on oxidizable stains such as fruit, red wine, tea, coffee, grass, blood, etc.

The bleach prevents graying of white laundry and brightens gray or yellowed laundry.

And it is 100% biodegradable.

It is always recommended to hand wash the patterned Snack box lids when possible.

The silicone gasket can be removed from the lid when you occasionally want to wash the lid more thoroughly.

Some spices can stain the 24Bottles Snack box, so rinse quickly to avoid stains.

Dejske i træ

Dejske in cherry wood from Danske Biogan.

It makes a lot of sense to use kitchen utensils made of wood.

Wood does not release any harmful chemicals to your food and there is also no risk of it melting on the pan, as e.g. plastic can do when temperatures get high.

The dejske has rounded and soft edges and fits very well in hand.

It has a large hole in the middle and is therefore ideal for e.g. soups with pasta in it, as the hole helps to separate the pasta, as it can often gather in lumps.

And then it really decorates your kitchen.

Dejske measures 30cm. in length and 6cm. in the width at the widest point.

Maintenance of your wooden dough knife

The dough knife should be washed by hand.

It cannot be washed in a dishwasher or soaked. Not even if it is just in a little bit of water.

So make sure to dry it as soon as possible.

Please give your dough cooking oil continuously. then it stays nicely glossy and makes it more resistant to water etc.

Set of 3 storage bags - All Purpose Bags

The bags measure:

These All Purpose Bags - or all-purpose bags - can be used for just about anything.

And the meaning is that they both have to, but are also simply used again and again.

How to use the stain remover

For the color fastness of the textile: test on a small area before use.

For local treatment of stains: Apply undiluted liquid Sonett stain remover to the stain and leave for 10-15 minutes. Then thoroughly wash the stain remover out of the clothes again or put the clothes directly into the washing machine.

Can also be used as a washing booster for machine washing: For washing at 30–60 °C add 20–30 ml to a laundry volume of 4.5 kg.

When factories dye yarn for textile production, they often create an extra stash just in case – but much of this yarn ends up unused. Odds & Ends textiles are designed to fully utilize these remainders, creating endless, unexpected color combinations.

Collections & Colors
Odds & Ends collections are produced in batches. The factory gathers surplus materials and uses these colors to create a new design, which is then put into production. The precise design is just a starting point – during production, some of the remaining materials are used up and replaced with similar colors.

Therefore, the images you see are a guiding representation of what the textiles look like, but there will be slight variations within each batch.

Colors may vary
Since these textiles are produced in small batches from surplus materials, colors may vary. However, the general color palette is always maintained, so textiles within the same color scale can easily be combined. The product you receive may be identical to or have slight variations compared to the images on this page. The duo set consists of one textile in primarily cool tones and one in primarily warm tones.

Washing and care instructions
All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 30°C on the washing machine's cotton program with similar colors. To preserve the intensity of the colors, an organic detergent for colored laundry is recommended.

To prolong the life of the textiles, line drying is recommended, but terry products such as soft towels – especially those with a velour finish – can benefit from occasional tumble drying at medium heat to soften the fibers without the use of chemical fabric softeners.

If you live in an area with hard water, you can soften both your textiles and your washing machine by adding citric acid or vinegar to the rinse cycle from time to time.

Loose threads
This product is woven with terry loops to ensure a soft and absorbent quality. Newly woven terry loops can be more prone to loose threads, so please be careful with jewelry during the first few uses.

If a thread should come loose, never pull it! Carefully cut it off with sharp scissors – this will prevent further loose threads and does not affect the woven structure of the textiles. After the first few washes, the fibers will become more resistant to snags.

What are soap nuts?

The soap nuts come from Inden, where they grow on big beautiful trees at the foot of The Himmalaya Mountains.

Washnuts are like berries with the nuts separated. So soapnuts are actually a misleading term, because only the berry is used for soap.

The soapnuts can be used for washing clothes, dishes, as shampoo, for shaving and for cleaning.

The soapnuts contain an organic substance called saponin. Saponin has an ability to dissolve and remove dirt.

Sapon is released on contact with water above 30 degrees and works like soap.

You therefore do not have to worry about whether the washing nuts release soap when the clothes are rinsed. Because the rinse water is cold and the soap nuts will therefore not release saponin into the cold water.

How are soap nuts used?

The soap bars are placed in the supplied laundry bag and put into the drum of the washing machine.

The number of soap bars that you should use, is somewhat dependent on how dirty the laundry is and how much you wash at a time.

Here you should try your hand a bit.

However, it is generally recommended to use 4-5 soap berries per load. wash.

If you live in an area with hard water, add calcifier if you live in an area with hard water.

Add bleach for white washes.

The soap carriers work at washing temperatures between 30 and 90 degrees. However, you can use a liquid detergent, extracted from soap berries, for very short washes.

How long can the soap nuts be used?

For small mattresses, the wet bed sheet is simply placed loosely on top of the mattress. For larger mattresses, fasten the wet bed sheet around the mattress with the sewn-on elastics.

Wash your wet bed sheet

We recommend that you wash the wet bed sheet at 40 degrees or a maximum of 60 degrees.

Please choose a washing program for heavy laundry, as the wet bed sheet can become heavy when washed, which some washing machines and/or washing programs find difficult to spin.

If the wet bed sheet is still very wet after washing, you can consider spinning it an extra time time.

The wet layer should not be dried in a tumble dryer. It should instead be hung to dry.

What is a Stasher Bag?

A Stasher Bag is a reusable and completely sealed silicone bag for storing your food, your toiletries and the like.

How to use your Stasher Bag

As you have probably already discovered, you can Stasher Bags are used for a great deal. Here are some tips for use in the oven, microwave, sous vide pot and freezer.

Stasher in the oven: Place your open bag on a baking tray and put it in the oven. We recommend heating at a maximum of 210 degrees. And leave the bag slightly open so that the steam can escape.Stasher in the microwave: Leave the bag open here too when you heat food in the microwave. If you are going to make popcorn, we recommend a Stasher Stand-up. It gives a little more space to pop.Stasher in Sous vide pot: Put the food in the bag and slowly lower it into the water. The heat causes the air to seep out of the bag and will create a vacuum around the food. Close the bag and make sure it is completely closed when it is in the water. Prepare as you normally would, but now completely without plastic.Stasher in the freezer: Use Stasher Bags to freeze your food in. They are brilliant for leftovers from dinner or for wet food such as fruit or meat. Stasher Bags do not take up much space in the freezer and since they are transparent, they provide a good overview.

Tips for Stasher Bags

Your Stasher Bag may be discolored by certain foods (tomato and the like). A little smell can also be transferred if you have used your stasher bag for strong foods. Both parts can be remedied with a little baking soda and lemon.

If they get a little discolored over time, you can use vinegar and baking soda to remove them, and if that doesn't work, we have another tip up our sleeve as well.

If you have Stasher bags in Clear or lighter versions, the best way to remove discoloration is to actually let the sun do the work. If you leave your bags out in the sun for a few hours or 3, the UV rays will work to remove the discolouration.

Of course, it requires that it is up in the sky.

You can also remove food smells by putting your stasher bags in the oven at 175 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Make sure they cool down again before handling them.

You can also soak them in hot water with a little vinegar and salt for an hour. It can also help.

And then the best tip is probably just to use it again and again and again :-)

Cleaning your Stasher Bag

Please put your Stasher bag in the dishwasher. It can easily withstand that.

Otherwise you can clean it by hand washing.

Stasher Bags are produced in China under proper conditions.

The idea is really that you should not be able to see it at all once it holds the soap.

How to do it

• Clean the surface on which you want the suction cup to sit
• Place the suction cup firmly on the desired surface
• Press the metal capsule down into your soap bar or shampoo bar
• Attach the soap to the magnet.

The holder can lift up to 220 g of soap if mounted correctly.
The suction cup measures Ø50mm and can be moved as you wish.
