Laundry Sheets the easiest way to wash clothes

Laundry Sheets is a Swedish company that was created based on the desire to reduce plastic waste in packaging and products for laundry.

They have created Laundry Sheets, which is a detergent in sheet form.

Laundry Sheets is plant-based and without boring chemicals. It is detergent in dried and concentrated form, which dissolves easily in both hot and cold water. In this way, you yourself save a lot of space on the shelf, but not least you save the environment from a burden, because it is far more climate-friendly not to transport a lot of liquid around the globe. And at the same time you save the world from plastic waste. Laundry Sheets comes in a box made of recycled paper and is completely free of plastic.

How to use it

• For general cleaning: Use 3 tablespoons (approx. 50 ml) for 10 liters of water.

• For heavy dirt: Apply undiluted directly to a sponge or cloth and wipe off.

The cleaning agent has a different color than before. Why?
The universal cleaner gets its color from none other than the organic orange essential oil. The cleaning agent can be slightly colored or have a deep yellow or orange color.

It depends on where the oranges come from, as the oil is pressed from the peel. Differences in color have no influence on the product's effectiveness.

What does the product contain?

This cleaning agent has been developed according to principles of chemical minimalism – and consists exclusively of ingredients that spare both people and the planet:

• < 5% plant-based non-ionic surfactant – dissolves dirt and grease

• Chelating agent (EDDS) – softens the water and improves the cleaning ability

• Sodium benzoate – preservative approved for natural products

• <1% soap extract – mild cleansing effect

• Denatured alcohol – promotes rapid evaporation and leaves no streaks

• Xanthan gum – stabilizes formula and improves viscosity

• Organic orange oil (Citrus sinensis) – gives a fresh and natural fragrance

• D-limonene – naturally occurring in the peel of the citrus fruit (can cause allergies in sensitive people)

How long can the wash nuts be used?

The wash nuts can be used for approx. 5 washes - depending on the temperatures you wash at.

High temperatures will release more saponin from the soap berries than low temperatures.

The French kitchen offers so much more than just really good food.

These indispensable copper sponges from French La droguerie ècologique are not just super pretty to look at and have lying on the kitchen table. They are also both super practical and plastic-free.

The copper sponges are good for many purposes and take even the most stubborn, stuck-on food residues.

But at the same time, it is still a relatively gentle cleaning of your pans and pots and of the stove and your kitchen sink.

The cleaning sponges are made of pure copper and are malleable but measure approx. 7 x 9 x 3 cm.

What can you use white vinegar for?
Vinegar is a real multi-talent in the home, and here are some of its many uses:

• Removing limescale
  Perfect for the bathroom and kitchen – dissolves limescale from sinks, showers, tiles and fixtures.

• Polishing and shine
  Gives stainless steel and chrome a nice shine. Spray on, rinse with water and polish afterwards with a soft cloth.

• Windows and floors
  Add a little vinegar to the washing water and experience sparkling clean windows and floors.

• Relax and clean
  In combination with baking soda, it is ideal for cleaning cutting boards, snack boxes and dirty sinks. Spray vinegar first, let it work, sprinkle baking soda on and then dry with a sponge or loofah.

• Odor remover in drains and bins
  Combine with Puer bleach powder: pour 1-2 tablespoons of Puer into the drain, followed by 1 cup of hot vinegar. The foam effect loosens grease and dirt – leave on for 15 min. and rinse with warm water.

How to use white vinegar for cleaning

1. Spray directly on the surface with a spray bottle.

2. Spread with a sponge, loofah or toothbrush in hard-to-reach places.

3. Let the vinegar work for a few minutes and rinse with water.

4. For stubborn dirt: Repeat the treatment or place a cloth with vinegar over the area.

NOTE: Do not use vinegar on natural stone, marble, granite or untreated wood. Always test first on a less visible area.

Colorful home textiles – made from surplus materials from industry

When factories dye yarn for textile production, an extra stock is often made just in case – but much of this yarn ends up unused. Odds & Ends textiles are designed to make full use of these scraps and create endless, unexpected color combinations.

Collections & Colors

Odds & Ends collections are produced in batches. The factory collects surplus materials and uses these colors to create a new design, which is then put into production. The precise design is just the starting point – during production, some of the residual materials are used up and replaced with similar colors.

Therefore, the images you see are an indicative representation of how the textiles look, but there will be slight variations within each batch.

Colours may vary

As these textiles are produced in small batches from surplus materials, colors may vary. However, the general color palette is always preserved, so that textiles within the same color scale can be easily combined. The product you receive may be identical to or have slight variations compared to the images on this page. The duo set consists of one textile in primarily cold tones and one in primarily warm tones.

Washing and care instructions

All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 30°C in the washing machine's cotton program together with similar colours. To preserve the intensity of the colors, an organic detergent is recommended for colored washing.

To extend the life of the textiles, air drying is recommended, but terrycloth products such as soft towels – especially those with a velor surface – may benefit from an occasional tumble dryer on medium heat to soften the fibers without the use of chemical fabric softeners.

If you live in an area with chalky water, you can soften both your textiles and washing machine by adding citric acid or vinegar to the rinse cycle from time to time.

Loose Threads

This product is woven with terry loops to ensure a soft and absorbent quality. Newly woven terry loops can be more prone to loose threads, so be careful with jewelry when first worn.

If a thread should come loose, never pull it! Carefully cut it off with sharp scissors – this will prevent further loose threads and will not affect the woven structure of the textiles. After the first few washes, the fibers will become more resistant to snags.

It is without hormone-disrupting substances and other chemicals that can seep into your food.

And it is extremely practical, as you can both freeze your food in it and reheat it in the microwave - without moving the food.

Kapok is a unique material that is both temperature regulating and insulating.

Kapok, also called silk cotton, is light and breathable and transports moisture away from the body. The temperature-regulating effect makes it suitable as both a summer and winter duvet and especially suitable for small children who may have difficulty regulating their body temperature. Use the set both for the bed and for the pram.

Kapok is recommended for allergy sufferers, as natural kapok contains an antibacterial substance that house dust mites cannot live in.

Both the duvet and pillow are filled with untreated organic kapok, with a spring of 100% organically certified cotton.

Maintenance of your kapok duvet and pillow

And they are definitely worth taking good care of.

As a starting point, you should only wash your kapok duvet or pillow if it is strictly necessary.

If the stains are minor, we recommend spot wash.

If it is necessary to wash your kapok duvet or pillow, do it like this:

• Wash preferably at 40 degrees to protect the fibre. However, 60 degrees is possible if necessary.
• Choose a short washing program, as the kapok cannot stand being wet for too long
• Choose centrifugation at 1200 revolutions to get as much water as possible out of the kapok
• Use a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleach. For example, Cocoon's soap berry or a delicate detergent with or without probiotics
• Do not use fabric softener
• Dry the kapok duvet or pillow immediately after washing

• The kapok duvet or pillow is dried alone in the tumble dryer
• Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated
• Do not use tennis balls as they break the fiber
• Choose a 30 minute program with medium heat. Look at the kapok pillow and repeat until it is slightly damp.
• Let the kapok duvet or pillow dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone.
• Be careful not to dry too long in the dryer, as this can reduce the life of the fiber.

Bamboo soap dish from Organic Beauty Supply.

What are soap nuts?

The soap nuts come from Inden, where they grow on big beautiful trees at the foot of The Himmalaya Mountains.

Washnuts are like berries with the nuts separated. So soapnuts are actually a misleading term, because only the berry is used for soap.

The soapnuts can be used for washing clothes, dishes, as shampoo, for shaving and for cleaning.

The soapnuts contain an organic substance called saponin. Saponin has an ability to dissolve and remove dirt.

The saponin is released when it comes into contact with water above 30 degrees and works like soap.

You therefore do not have to worry about whether the washing nuts release soap when the clothes are rinsed. Because the rinse water is cold and the soap nuts will therefore not release saponin into the cold water.

How are soap nuts used?

The soap bars are placed in the included laundry bag and put into the drum of the washing machine.

The number of soap bars that you should use depends a little on how dirty the laundry is and how much you wash at a time.

Here you should try your hand a bit.

However, it is generally recommended to use 4-5 soap berries per load. wash.

If you live in an area with hard water, add calcifier if you live in an area with hard water.

Add bleach for white laundry.

The soap carriers work at washing temperatures between 30 and 90 degrees. However, you can use a liquid detergent, extracted from soap berries, for very short washes.

Alternatively, you can soak the soap bars in warm water for a while before use.

The soap bars are very gentle and also work very well for wool and silk.

This stain remover block is both natural and effective.

It removes stains from your clothes, while being gentle on the environment.

The stain remover block is made from natural plant-based oils and is therefore biodegradable in nature. And then it is a completely vegan alternative.

The stain remover box contains saponified coconut oil, rapeseed oil, soya oil and lychee oil.

The lychee oil gives the stain remover a fantastic scent of citrus.

How to use the stain remover block?

Wet your stained clothes and rub the stain remover block on the stain until the soap suds have reached through the fabric and there are soap suds on both sides.

For difficult stains such as berries or older stains, it may be necessary to use the stain remover more than once and possibly soak with the stain remover foam.

How to use your Stasher Bag

Stasher in the oven: Place your open bag on a baking tray and put it in the oven. We recommend heating at a maximum of 210 degrees. Tips for Stasher Bags

Write on your Stasher Bag with a whiteboard pen. It comes off easily in the wash

Your Stasher Bag may be discolored by certain foods (tomato and the like). A little smell can also be transferred if you have used your stasher bag for strong foods. Both parts can be remedied with a little baking soda and lemon.

If they get a little discolored over time, you can use vinegar and baking soda to remove them, and if that doesn't work, we have another tip up our sleeve as well.

If you have Stasher bags in Clear or lighter versions, the best way to remove discoloration is to actually let the sun do the work. If you leave your bags out in the sun for a few hours or 3, the UV rays will work to remove the discolouration.

Of course, that requires it to be out in the sky.

You can also remove food smells by putting your stasher bags in the oven at 175 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Make sure they cool down again before handling them.

You can also soak them in hot water with a little vinegar and salt for an hour. It can also help.

And then the best tip is probably just to use it again and again and again :-)

Cleaning your Stasher Bag

The cushion is hand-filled with untreated organic kapok, covered with a spring of 100% organically certified cotton.

The cushion is insulating and temperature-regulating and a super good alternative to the classic inner cushions in down or polyester.

Maintenance of your kapok pillow

However, it can clump together a little and if that happens, we have good experience of giving the pillow a trip in the dryer on medium heat for approx. half an hour together with dryer balls (preferably wool) as this will loosen the fibers again.

If the stains are smaller, we recommend spot wash.

But if it is necessary to wash your kapok pillow, you do it like this:

• Wash preferably at 40 degrees to protect the fiber. However, 60 degrees is possible if necessary.
• Choose a short washing program, as the kapok cannot stand being wet for too long
• Choose centrifugation at 1200 revolutions to get as much water as possible out of the kapok
• Use a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleach. For example Cocoon's soap berry or a delicate detergent with or without probiotics
• Do not use fabric softener
• Dry the kapok pad immediately after wash

• The kapok pillow is dried alone in the tumble dryer
• Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated
• Do not use tennis balls as they break the fiber
• Choose a 30 minute program with medium heat. Look at the kapok pillow and repeat until it is slightly damp.
• Let the kapok pillow dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone.
• Be careful not to dry too long in the dryer, as this can reduce the life of the fiber.

Grøn Voks Pulje is a designation for wax that comes from bee farms where neither pesticides nor antibiotics are used.

Please note that the bags are breathable. This means that wet food waste can evaporate and thereby reduce rotting and bad odours. We therefore recommend that you use a ventilated kitchen bin for the waste bags, so that together with the bags, it can ensure that the food waste evaporates. At the same time, the soy is biodegradable and GMO-free. The small plastic buckets that these tealights come in are reusable and sorted like plastic. You can also use them to make your own candles with the GDS kit from Mara Light.

The dryer balls absorb moisture and distribute the clothes well in the dryer. This means that the clothes dry faster and that the machine therefore stops earlier (provided that you use a program that stops when the clothes are dry)

Be aware that the wool balls work best in a tumble dryer that is not completely full. The drying balls should have room to move in order to function optimally.

This package contains 4 wool balls. 2 of the balls are white - and are for light laundry and 2 balls are dark - you can use them for your dark clothes.

You can also just put all the balls in the dryer together:-)

The dryer balls will be damp (inside) after use, so please give them the opportunity to dry up before you pack them away.
