Maintenance

Biodegradable materials are naturally capable of being broken down and returned to the earth – eventually. KOOSHOO products are created in a way that makes them durable, strong and high performing, but they are still plant-based materials, which means they will wear out (as intended) - but proper care can extend their life. To maximize lifespan, avoid storing them in direct sunlight, stretching them while wet, or leaving oils and hair products on them.

Wash your similarly colored KOOSHOO headbands in cold water and lay flat to dry. Then they are as good as new again.

Handmade and organic soap bar with manuka honey
Our organic soap bar with Manuka honey is made from 100% natural ingredients. It is worth highlighting the Manuka honey, which is completely unique. This unique honey is produced by bees that harvest the nectar from the Manuka bushes. The Manuka bush is a wild-growing bush that can be found everywhere in nature in New Zealand.

However, the bush only blooms four weeks a year, which means that the supply of this unique honey is significantly limited. Manuka honey is also unique due to its high content of Methylglyoxal (MGO), which has a completely unique antibacterial effect.

The honey has a number of documented therapeutic and healing properties. These properties mean that it is used in many hospitals, also in Denmark. We are particularly happy with the antibacterial, moisturizing and soothing properties of honey, which are beneficial in our soap bar. The soap bar is handmade and contains only natural fragrance. Here, the honey also plays a role in our soap, as it helps to give a lovely sweet scent.

Our soap bar with manuka honey and lemongrass is unique, as the oil from the lemongrass herb has some unique properties that are fantastic for the skin. Lemongrass has a cleansing effect on the skin, and is therefore very effective at removing dirt and cleaning impurities. In addition, lemongrass has a pleasant scent, which gives a relaxing feeling in the body.

Moderate flow

Flow 2 is designed to absorb moderate menstruation. But have you ever thought about how much you actually bleed?

Few people have a complete grasp of it (unless you're used to using a menstrual cup), as even a small amount of blood can seem like a lot when it hits the toilet. With us, moderate flow means approximately the same as 1-2 regular tampons, corresponding to around 5-10 ml of blood.

Baby & Kids All-in-One Holiday Cream SPF30
This versatile and natural mineral sunscreen has been developed specifically for babies and children with sensitive skin. The sunscreen from Sol de Ibiza is based on non-nano zinc oxide as a sun filter, which provides safe sun protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Nano is a size designation. Non-nano zinc oxide means that the cream does not have particles so small that they penetrate the skin or are absorbed into the marine environment. This also makes it reef safe, so you can swim in the sea with a clear conscience without worrying about whether your sunscreen is harming the marine environment.

• Can be washed in a dishwasher, but to extend the lifespan, hand washing is recommended.

• Avoid pouring boiling water directly on the soap dish.

• If the soap dish is cold, a sudden temperature change can cause small fine cracks in the glaze. However, these cracks do not affect the durability of the bowl, and the glaze will not fall off.

How to achieve the best result
Switching to a shampoo bar is easy, and with the right technique, your bar will last a long time:
 

• Wash: Wet hair thoroughly and rub the bar directly against the scalp until it lathers up.

• Massage: Massage the foam well into the scalp. This increases blood circulation and allows the active ingredients to work. Feel free to let the shampoo sit for about a minute.

• Rinse: Rinse thoroughly. Repeat the process if using many styling products.

• Care: We recommend finishing every wash with a conditioner bar. For an irritated scalp, our Rosehip Conditioner Bar is the ideal partner.

Tip: Extend the shelf life by letting your bar dry completely between each wash. Avoid direct sunlight. The Kystnær shampoo bar can be used for approx. 30-40 washes.

Cornstarch toothbrush

Many have already switched to bamboo toothbrushes, but not everyone knows that you can also make toothbrushes from corn. And that is exactly what these decorative bio toothbrushes are made of; NON-GMO corn.

With a toothbrush that is produced from corn, you get a compostable toothbrush.

When you have finished using the toothbrush (recommended after about 2 months), break off the head and throw it away for recycling in the plastic bin.

How to use your Maize toothbrush

Use light pressure and brush in circular motions movements.

Replace the toothbrush every 12 weeks or earlier if it is worn out.

Replace the toothbrush after illness.

Rinse thoroughly before and after use.
