Food'ie thermal lunch box - 500 ml - Soft Rose

AYA&IDA

A&I-59027

How to use your AYA&IDA Food'ie

When the food box is used for hot food, it is important to heat the food completely so that it is scalding hot - and preferably to the boiling point, before you fill the food in the thermo food box. This also reduces the bacteria in the food.

The colder the food is, the faster it will lose heat.

The Foodi is not suitable for a trip in the dishwasher, as this can destroy the thermal capacity as well as the coating itself. Therefore, it is recommended that it be washed by hand, for example with a bottle cleaner, which you can also find here.

When you buy a stainless steel lunch box from AYA&IDA, Økofamily donates collaboration with AYA&IDA 100 liters of water for children in Africa through UNICEF.

In this package you get 2 pcs. Pandoo bamboo charcoal air purifiers, each containing 200 g. activated bamboo carbon.

You can use the bamboo deodorizers in the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the wardrobe, in the office, in the sports bag, in your shoes and in the dog basket.

The air purifying pads are delivered in a box made of recyclable cardboard.

How to use your Pandoo bamboo air purifiers

  • Place one or more pads in the rooms where you want to clean the air.
  • When the pads have absorbed a lot of moisture, you just put them in a warm place to dry out the carbon.
  • In the summer you can put them out and dry, directly in the sun, and then they work again.
  • It is actually a really good idea to make it a habit to reactivate the pads by putting them out in the sunlight for a few hours every four weeks.
  • The sun's UV rays will clean the pores in the activated carbon and the air freshener is fully activated again and ready to use.

The pads have a lifespan of at least 2 years and after that they are biodegradable but remember to cut off the top with the metal ring before throwing the pads into the compost. You can see the production date on the back of the box. It can, for example, be PO2010 which corresponds to 'October 2020', i.e. year first and month last. From the time of production, the shelf life is 4 years, which means that the product in the example can actually last until October 2024.

What is bamboo charcoal?

Bamboo charcoal is a 100% natural material. It consists in its simplicity of burnt bamboo. The specially made charcoal is not the same as regular charcoal.

When activated bamboo charcoal is made, the bamboo is burned under very high temperatures. The oxygen is removed and the carbon is activated with the help of steam gases.

The activated carbon has an incredibly good absorbent capacity, i.a. because it is full of small holes that capture and bind the substances that can be found in e.g. liquid.

One gram of activated carbon can have a surface area of ??500-3000 m2, and it is precisely this large surface area that makes activated carbon so fantastically effective.

Roll-it-yourself beeswax candles - Christmas tree candles

BISTAD

BIS-000013

Roll your own beeswax candles for the Christmas tree

In this DIY candle set you get 2 beeswax sheets made of pure beeswax, 20 wicks and instructions on how to do it.

The two sheets of beeswax contain a total of 20 pieces. christmas tree candle made of beeswax.

The wax is from Grøn Voks Pulje - i.e. wax that originates from bee farms where neither pesticides nor antibiotics are used.

Making your own beeswax candles is a really pleasant activity that we can really recommend.

And the candles that come out of it are so beautiful in all their simplicity and naturalness - and a much better light for the environment.

Beeswax candles are a natural and chemical-free alternative to candle of stearin and paraffin.

The beeswax comes from beeswax collected from local beehives distributed over Central Jutland - beeswax from Grøn Voks Pool.

BISTAD is a social economy company where there is always room for "the weird". We clearly support that at Økofamily.

When you buy light from Bistad, you make an important difference:

  • for vulnerable citizens
  • for the honey bee
  • for your indoor climate
  • for nature
  • for the CO2 released
  • for yourself and your dear

How to roll your own beeswax candles for the Christmas tree

  • Start by cutting the first sheet of wax into 10 squares: 11.5 x 6.8 cm. This makes 10 round Christmas tree candles
  • With a hair dryer you can heat up the edge a little so that it can stick better. Then you bend the edge of the small wax sheets over something with an edge, e.g. a cutting board or another board
  • When the edge is bent, you place the wick in the fold and roll the wax sheet tightly around it.
  • For beeswax candles, round wicks are used, and it is important that the wick faces the right way. We have therefore marked the wick, so you know that it is the end that must be at the bottom of the light. This is to ensure that the burning is as good as possible.
  • These wicks are short and suitable for small Christmas tree candles
  • Roll the candle completely. Preferably as tight as possible
  • Finally, you cut the wick so that it is approx. 1 cm. where the light is.
  • The wick should burn up by itself, but if a small piece falls off and lands in the light, it reduces the quality of the fire.

Also, pay attention to the fire authorities' instructions for burning candles:

  • Never leave a lighted candles.
  • Always place lit candles so that children and animals cannot knock them over.
  • Always supervise candles.
  • Always turn off candles when you go to bed or leave the home.
  • Calves must be placed well away from fluttering curtains.
  • Never have candles in children's rooms.
  • Candles (especially tealights) can float out and begin to burn
  • Do not blow out light, but smother the flame. For example with a pot that is placed over the candle(s) with the bottom in the air.
