Carbon rod - Kishu Binchotan - Mini

Kulvand

KUL-10009

Activated carbon is a form of carbon that undergoes a special activation process that makes it extremely porous. This significantly increases the surface area of ??the coal, making it very effective at absorbing various pollutants. Activated carbon can attract and bind to harmful chemicals, toxins and unwanted odors. It is widely used in water filtration systems and other healthcare products due to its ability to purify and improve water quality. Kishu Binchotan, a traditional Japanese form of activated charcoal, is specially designed to purify drinking water and add beneficial minerals. This makes it a natural choice for those who want cleaner and healthier water without using disposable plastic filters.

Benefits of Kishu Binchotan activated carbon

  1. Natural choice: Kishu Binchotan is a natural, recyclable product that lasts for several months and can then be recycled into the soil.
  2. Improved water quality: In addition to filtering water, the charcoal stick adds healthy minerals, which make the water both tasty and more beneficial for health.
  3. Easy to use: Put the charcoal stick in water and after a few hours you have clean drinking water. The stick can be used again and again.
  4. Natural filtration without chemicals: The carbon stick effectively removes impurities without adding chemicals or plastic waste.

This size has an average weight of 7-10 gr. and measures 10-12 cm. and 0.5-1 cm.

This carbon rod cleans 1/2 liter water of approx. 4 hoursand also fits perfectly into a drinking bottle.

When you receive your charcoal stick, do the following:

  • Rinse the charcoal thoroughly in water (without soap)
  • Put the activated charcoal in a pan of cold water, heat it up and boil for ten minutes. It cleans the charcoal and activates the cleaning processes.
  • Take the charcoal out of the pot and let it cool down
  • Put the charcoal in a jug or other container and pour water over it
  • After six hours the water is cleaned and ready for use
  • Refill as much as you want
  • Boil the charcoal rod approx. 1 time per month according to the above procedure. It will reactivate the charcoal and remove the substances that the charcoal has taken up. Write it down if necessary. in your calendar so you remember it.

The coal can last for at least 90 days - and often much more. You will be able to taste when you need to replace the charcoal.

The charcoal rods may break during the cooking process. It has no effect on the effect of the charcoal.

Once your activated charcoal has served its water purification purpose, you can use it as an air purifier. It is super effective for cleaning the air indoors and ensuring good air humidity.

You can also use it to remove odors from shoes, sports bags or the fridge.

When you can't find more uses for the charcoal stick, you can simply throw it in the compost bin or in the flower bed. It's super effective as fertilizer too :-)

  • for vulnerable citizens
  • for the honey bee
  • for your indoor climate
  • for nature
  • for the CO2 released
  • for yourself and your dear

How to roll your own beeswax candles for the Christmas tree

  • Start by cutting the first sheet of wax into 10 squares: 11.5 x 6.8 cm. This makes 10 round Christmas tree candles
  • With a hair dryer you can heat up the edge a little so that it can stick better. Then you bend the edge of the small wax sheets over something with an edge, e.g. a cutting board or another board
  • When the edge is bent, you place the wick in the fold and roll the wax sheet tightly around it.
  • For beeswax candles, round wicks are used, and it is important that the wick faces the right way. We have therefore marked the wick, so you know that it is the end that must be at the bottom of the light. This is to ensure that the burning is as good as possible.
  • These wicks are short and suitable for small Christmas tree candles
  • Roll the candle completely. Preferably as tight as possible
  • Finally, you cut the wick so that it is approx. 1 cm. where the light is.
  • The wick should burn up by itself, but if a small piece falls off and lands in the light, it reduces the quality of the fire.

Also, pay attention to the fire authorities' instructions for burning candles:

  • Never leave a lighted candles.
  • Always place lit candles so that children and animals cannot knock them over.
  • Always supervise candles.
  • Always turn off candles when you go to bed or leave the home.
  • Calves must be placed well away from fluttering curtains.
  • Never have candles in children's rooms.
  • Candles (especially tealights) can float out and begin to burn
  • Do not blow out light, but smother the flame. For example with a pot that is placed over the candle(s) with the bottom in the air.

Haps Nordic

HAP-30017

Steel lunch box with room divider

Spacious lunch box in food-approved, stainless steel from Haps Nordic.

This lunch box is made of brushed steel, which makes the surface matt and super nice.

The lunch box measures 17.5 x 13.5 x 6 cm

It has a large room and room dividers that you can move or completely take out.

With the movable room divider, you decide for yourself whether you should have a large sandwich with a few side dishes or whether you would rather have some vegetables and fruit on one side and two rye bread snacks on the other. It's really practical.

The lid is completely sealed using a silicone seal.

The lunch box closes and is held together with grip clips on the sides, which are easy to handle.

You can also use the box for cold cuts or other food in the fridge at home.

Advantages of a stainless steel lunch box

Stainless steel is a great material such as a lunch box. It is extremely durable and would like to accompany you for a lifetime. You thus save the environment from a lot of plastic and disposable packaging, such as tinfoil, film or plastic bags. It's really durable!

And stainless steel is a clean material that does not contain phthalates, BPA or hormone-disrupting substances. Here you can be absolutely sure that your food products do not come into contact with boring chemistry. This lunch box is manufactured in a GOTS certified factory.

Maintenance of your stainless steel lunch box

This steel lunch box is dishwasher safe, but we recommend washing it by hand.

If you use a dishwasher, you just have to take care of fly rust from e.g. cheese strings and sieves. It can settle on the lunchbox in the dishwasher.

But the lunchbox itself cannot rust.

Odds & Ends

Colorful home textiles – made from surplus materials from industry

When factories dye yarn for textile production, an extra stock is often made just in case – but much of this yarn ends up unused. Odds & Ends textiles are designed to make full use of these scraps and create endless, unexpected color combinations.

Collections & Colors

Odds & Ends collections are produced in batches. The factory collects surplus materials and uses these colors to create a new design, which is then put into production. The precise design is just the starting point – during production, some of the residual materials are used up and replaced with similar colors.

Therefore, the images you see are an indicative representation of how the textiles look, but there will be slight variations within each batch.

Colours may vary

As these textiles are produced in small batches from surplus materials, colors may vary. However, the general color palette is always preserved, so that textiles within the same color scale can be easily combined. The product you receive may be identical to or have slight variations compared to the images on this page. The duo set consists of one textile in primarily cold tones and one in primarily warm tones.

Washing and care instructions

All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 30°C in the washing machine's cotton program together with similar colours. To preserve the intensity of the colors, an organic detergent is recommended for colored washing.

To extend the life of the textiles, air drying is recommended, but terrycloth products such as soft towels – especially those with a velor surface – may benefit from an occasional tumble dryer on medium heat to soften the fibers without the use of chemical fabric softeners.

If you live in an area with chalky water, you can soften both your textiles and washing machine by adding citric acid or vinegar to the rinse cycle from time to time.

Loose Threads

This product is woven with terry loops to ensure a soft and absorbent quality. Newly woven terry loops can be more prone to loose threads, so be careful with jewelry when first worn.

If a thread should come loose, never pull it! Carefully cut it off with sharp scissors – this will prevent further loose threads and will not affect the woven structure of the textiles. After the first few washes, the fibers will become more resistant to snags.

Liquid detergent for washing wool - with lanolin - unscented - 1 litre

Liquid detergent for washing wool - with lanolin - unscented - 1 litre

Tierra Verde

TIV-12299

Give your woolen clothes the best possible care with this gentle and conscious detergent from Tierra Verde. Based on soap nuts and added natural lanolin, it has been developed to gently clean and at the same time rebuild the wool's natural properties – without harmful additives.

When you wash wool, the wool's natural lanolin is slowly washed out. Therefore, it is important to use a detergent that not only cleans, but also adds lanolin and helps preserve the wool's heat-insulating and water-repellent properties. This is precisely what makes Tierra Verde’s liquid detergent for wool absolutely ideal.

Natural soap power from soap nuts
This detergent is based on saponin – a natural, soap-like substance extracted from soapberry (Sapindus Mukorossi). When the soap berries come into contact with hot water (above 30 °C), the saponin is released, which dissolves dirt and removes impurities, just like conventional detergents – but without chemistry.

Use

  • Use 30 ml per wash (approx. 1 capful) for 4-5 kg ??of laundry
  • For very dirty clothes or hard water: increase the dose to up to 60 ml or add a capful of descaler
  • For white laundry, you can add a few spoonfuls of PUER bleach
  • For hand washing: Use approx. 15 ml for a washing tub
  • Use bile soap or a vegan stain remover block for stubborn stains
  • Avoid washing below 30 °C, as otherwise the saponin will not be optimally activated

Ingredients
5-15% non-ionic surfactant of vegetable origin
5-15% soap nut extract
Lanoline
Chelating agent (EDDS)
Sodium benzoate
Denatured alcohol
Xanthan gum

Environment and ethics:
Tierra Verde’s products are developed with respect for both people and the environment. This wool wash is free of synthetic perfumes, bleaches and unnecessary additives, and the packaging is made from recycled plastic.
