How to use your beeswax candle correctly and safely

It makes a lot of sense to use kitchen utensils made of wood.

Aleppo soap is a unique and historic soap with roots back to ancient Syria, specifically the city of Aleppo, where it has been manufactured for more than 4000 years. What makes Aleppo soap truly special is its simple, natural ingredients and traditional manufacturing process, which has remained unchanged for centuries.

This mild, foaming soap was traditionally used in Syrian baths, originally established by the Romans, and the Crusaders brought the knowledge of its manufacture back to Europe. Here Aleppo soap became the inspiration for the famous Marseille soap. Aleppo soap's unique softening and caring properties are due to its original ingredients and traditional manufacturing method.

The manufacturing process is a slow and gentle cooking method, where the ingredients are mixed and boiled in large copper vessels. The finished soap mixture is then poured into a drying room, cut into blocks and left to air dry for 6 to 9 months. This long ripening period gives Aleppo soap its characteristic green core, surrounded by a brownish crust, as well as exceptional durability and mildness.

Aleppo soap consists mainly of two ingredients: olive oil and laurel oil. The olive oil acts as a mild and moisturizing base, while the laurel oil gives the soap its antibacterial, antiseptic and soothing properties. The soap is therefore known to be effective against skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis and acne.

Aleppo soap is known for its skin-friendly properties and is suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. It is 100% natural and contains no artificial additives, parabens or perfumes.

How to wash your bread bags
The bread bags can be machine washed at 40 °C and must be hung to dry.

How does dishwasher salt work?
In every dishwasher, there is a so-called ion exchanger (water softener). The task of this device is to remove lime from the water so that you get "soft water" for washing. When the ion exchanger is saturated with lime, it must be cleaned – or "regenerated."

This is where the salt for the dishwasher comes into play. The product functions as regenerating salt. The salt cleans the ion exchanger so it can absorb lime again. Without sufficient dishwasher salt, your machine will wash with hard water, quickly leading to dull grey lime films on your glasses and plates, as well as potential damage to the machine's heating element.

Dosage and Usage Instructions
To achieve the best washing results and avoid lime spots, always ensure that the dishwasher's salt reservoir is filled with regenerating salt. The machine typically indicates when it is running low on salt.

• You should set your dishwasher's water softening system to a hardness level that is 8°dH higher than your local water's actual hardness level.

How to use your Stasher Bag

As you have probably already discovered, you can Stasher Bags are used for a great deal. Here are some tips for use in the oven, microwave, sous vide pot and freezer.

Stasher in the oven: Place your open bag on a baking tray and put it in the oven. We recommend heating at a maximum of 210 degrees. Tips for Stasher Bags

Write on your Stasher Bag with a whiteboard pen. It comes off easily in the wash

Your Stasher Bag may be discolored by certain foods (tomato and the like). A little smell can also be transferred if you have used your stasher bag for strong foods. Both parts can be remedied with a little baking soda and lemon.

If they get a little discolored over time, you can use vinegar and baking soda to remove them, and if that doesn't work, we have another tip up our sleeve as well.

If you have Stasher bags in Clear or lighter versions, the best way to remove discoloration is to actually let the sun do the work. If you leave your bags out in the sun for a few hours or 3, the UV rays will work to remove the discolouration.

Of course, that requires it to be out in the sky.

You can also remove food smells by putting your stasher bags in the oven at 175 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Make sure they cool down again before handling them.

You can also soak them in hot water with a little vinegar and salt for an hour. It can also help.

And then the best tip is probably just to use it again and again and again :-)

What is bamboo charcoal?

Bamboo charcoal is a 100% natural material. It consists in its simplicity of burnt bamboo. The specially made charcoal is not the same as ordinary charcoal.

When activated bamboo charcoal is made, the bamboo is burned under very high temperatures. The oxygen is removed and the carbon is activated with the help of steam gases.

The activated carbon has an incredibly good absorbent capacity, i.a. because it is full of small holes that capture and bind the substances that can be found in e.g. liquid.

One gram of activated carbon can have a surface area of ??500-3000 m2, and it is precisely this large surface area that makes activated carbon so fantastically effective.

Reusable coffee filter

Maintenance of your reusable coffee filter

Before the first use and then every 6 - 8 weeks, the coffee filter should be boiled for 10 minutes to remove any coffee oils.

If food gets on your coffee filter, you should also boil the filter in approx. 10 min.

If your coffee filter becomes too dense over time, so that the coffee has difficulty flowing through, you can benefit from boiling it with a little limescale remover. For example this really effective and conscious version.

After use, you can pour the coffee grounds into the compost - or maybe use it as a scrub:-)

Chemical-free protection against moths in the wardrobe

Now you can protect your clothes against moths without having to worry about chemicals that traditional mothballs contain.

These rings of red cedar wood (Juniperus virginiana) are a completely natural protection against the small moths that can find their way around your wardrobe.

Cedar wood is oily and emits a scent that we humans find quite good. about, but which moths, on the other hand, cannot tolerate, so a little cedar wood in the wardrobe will protect your clothes from the little criminals.

These rings can, among other things, lie in drawers and smell nice or they can be put directly on your hangers and hang directly above your clothes.

If you put them in a drawer, put a piece of paper between the clothes and the wood, to protect the clothes from the oil from the wood. When the scent starts to fade, simply sand the rings lightly with a piece of sandpaper and they are ready again.

You need 2-5 pieces of cedar per ring. wardrobe depending on how big it is. In drawers, two is plenty.
