The sun oil from Sol de Ibiza is based on non-nano zinc oxide as sun filter, which provides safe sun protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
Nano is a size designation. Non-nano zinc oxide means that the cream does not have particles so small that they penetrate the skin or are absorbed into the marine environment. This also makes it reef safe, so you can swim in the sea with a clear conscience without worrying about whether your sunscreen is harming the marine environment.
It contains no heavy metals, harmful chemicals or preservatives. Zinc oxide acts as a physical filter on top of the skin and reflects the sun's rays away, but it does not color the skin white.
