How to use your Leaf Shave

• Prepare your skin for shaving by washing with warm water and possibly light exfoliation. It makes the hairs softer and easier to shave.
• Use a good shaving soap. We can definitely recommend this from Isangs.
• Shave with your Leaf Shave. Both skin and razor should be moist when you start.
• You don't need to put extra pressure on the Leaf razor, just let the weight of the razor do the work
• If you think the Leaf razor is too aggressive, you can remove the lower razor blade
• Continuously rinse your Leaf Shave under warm water.
• Notice if you need to shave areas and repeat if necessary.
• Shaving done!

Cleaning your Leaf razor

Open your Leaf Shave and rinse it thoroughly after each use. Use possibly an old toothbrush if there are places where dirt is stuck.

Make sure the leaves are cleaned and have a chance to dry up.

Store your Leaf Shave in a dry place.

If there is limescale on your Leaf Shave, you can soak it in 1 part vinegar and 2 parts water for approx. 10 minutes.

Scrub it if necessary. clean with an old toothbrush and a little mild dishwashing detergent

Do not leave the safety razor soaked for a long time.

How to change the blades on your Leaf Shave

Your Leaf Shave can be equipped with up to 3 leaves. The blades are Single-Edge blades and you can find them here

• When you want to change the blades, you start by unscrewing the screw on the head of the Leaf razor. You have to screw clockwise to open it.
• The loose screw opens the razor blades, which you can now access.
• Replace the razor blades one by one.
• Make sure the blades are in the correct position in each compartment.
• Take care when handling the razor blades. They are really sharp!
• Turn the screw back in place - counter-clockwise. (see video further down the page)

How to achieve the best result
To ensure the best durability and a professional finish, we recommend the following routine:
 

1. Ensure your nails are dry and free of oil or cream.
2. Base Coat: For extra protection and care, start with a thin base coat (ZAO 636) to protect the nail and ensure an even surface. If you have brittle nails needing to be reinforced, ZAO recommends using their 'Nail Hardener' (ZAO 635) as a base coat.
3. Color: Apply one or two coats of ZAO Coral (656) depending on the desired color intensity. Start in the middle of the nail and stroke from the nail bed to the tip, then fill in the sides.
4. Top Coat: Finish with a glossy top coat (ZAO 636) or a glitter top coat (ZAO 665) to seal the color and provide extra durability.
5. Correction: Any small mistakes can be quickly removed with a corrector pen.

When you want to remove your nail polish, we recommend using ZAO's acetone-free nail polish remover.

A cloth pad is a super good way to save the climate from a whole lot of unnecessary disposable plastic, and it is a super soft and comfortable alternative for you.

The cloth pad allows your skin to breathe and feels fresh and natural against the skin.

The cloth napkins are made up of 4 absorbent layers of organic cotton flannel and a layer of PUL, which makes it leak-proof.

The cloth napkin has wings and closes with a snap button. Here there are two different setting options.

The cloth napkins are OEKO-TEX certified. It is not a 100% guarantee for a chemical-free product, so please wash them a few times before use just to be safe.
The fabric may fluff a little at first, but these are just loose fibers that disappear in the wash. However, they can be removed with a scraper if they do not.

Washing cloth pads

Wash your cloth pads a few times before use.

When using:

Rinse your cloth pads in cold water before washing them - possibly added a little salt.

The cloth bandages should ideally be soaked for approx. 24 hours to minimize the risk of stains.

You can also choose a cold rinse in the machine.

Then wash your cloth napkins at 60-90 degrees in the washing machine.

Preferably avoid a tumble dryer, as it wears a lot on the PUL layer.

If you have enough napkins, you can wash them all at the same time.

2 packets mini, 4 packets normal and 2 packets night are often enough for a period.

How to use it

Open your Leaf Shave and rinse it thoroughly after each use. Use possibly an old toothbrush if there are places where dirt is stuck.

If there is limescale on your Leaf Shave, you can soak it in 1 part vinegar and 2 parts water for approx. 10 minutes.
