How to use your cotton covers

How to Use Beeswax Paper

• Fold the beeswax wrap around food or a bowl.
• The warmth of your hands softens the material, so it wraps around the food easily.
• The reusable sandwich paper stiffens again when cooled down and therefore stays tight.
• After use, clean your beeswax wrap gently with alcohol-free soap in cool water with a soft cloth or sponge.
• Wipe the wrap with a tea towel without wringing it.
• And it's ready for use again.

How to use your Kystnær soap bar

Dissolve in lukewarm water until the water has a bright white/blue glow. Soak your wool or knitwear for about 10 minutes. Gently twist or spin the item before laying it flat to dry. It is not necessary to rinse the soap out.

The bar lasts longer if it is allowed to dry between uses.

The soap is based on plant-based, active cleaning substances, and is enhanced with organic orange oil, which not only increases the fat-dissolving effect, but is also gentle on the skin.

Give your laundry a natural and gentle finish with Tierra Verde's plant-based fabric softener. This unique formula is a healthy alternative to conventional fabric softener and developed with consideration for both the environment and delicate skin.

Why choose a natural fabric softener?
Most people associate fabric softener with soft and fragrant clothes – but what fewer people know is that traditional fabric softener is often based on synthetic perfumes, petrochemical ingredients and substances that can cause skin irritation and reduce the natural properties of textiles.

Tierra Verde's fabric softener works in a completely different way. With its naturally acidic pH level, it neutralizes the alkaline residues from detergents such as soap and washing soda.

It is especially important for:

• People with sensitive skin, allergies or eczema
• Small children and babies whose skin is much more sensitive
• Environmentally conscious consumers who want a chemical-free washing routine

The rinse aid helps prevent detergent residues and minerals from from hard water settles in the textile fibers. This means that the textiles retain their softness and colors, and that towels and tea towels absorb liquid optimally.

How to use this laundry cleaner

For machine washing:
Pour approx. 30 ml in the fabric softener container (for 4-5 kg ??laundry). The fabric softener is added automatically in the last rinse, where it neutralizes soap residues and makes the clothes wonderfully soft.

For hand washing:
After you have washed the clothes with detergent, dissolve 15-30 ml of fabric softener in clean water and leave the clothes in it for approx. 10 minutes. Then rinse as usual.

Do you have hard water?
When washing in hard water, fabric softener is particularly important, as minerals in the water bind to the detergents and form deposits in the fabric. Tierra Verde fabric softener counteracts this effect and ensures that the clothes remain soft and colourful.

Can the fabric softener change its appearance?
Yes, at low temperatures small white lumps can appear in the fabric softener – a bit like little clouds. This is because plant-based surfactants react to cold, but the product still works completely as it should. Place the bottle at room temperature and the lumps will disappear.

Ingredients (INCI):

• < 5% non-ionic surfactants
• Citric acid

Note: The product is enhanced with a sugar-based surfactant, which ensures optimal mixing and replaces previously used denatured alcohol.

Usage

• Machine wash (4.5 kg laundry): 30 ml detergent
• Hand wash: 15 ml in wash basin
• In hard water: Increase dosage up to 60 ml
• Lightly soiled laundry: From 30 ºC
• Sweat and grease stains: Minimum 40 ºC
• White clothes: Add 1-2 tbsp. of Percarbonate bleach and wash at minimum 55 ºC
• Very dirty coloured clothes: Pre-treat or soak overnight in warm water with 1-2 tbsp. detergent gel

Tips for optimal washing

• Use gall soap or a natural stain remover before washing.
• Do not use regular fabric softener it reduces the functional properties of clothes. Instead, use Tierra Verde's fabric softener for natural fibres to neutralise pH and remove soap residues.
• Always follow the washing instructions on garments to maintain their technical functions.

Use and maintenance of your silicone bags

When using in the oven: Keep the bag open and make sure to heat the oven to a maximum of 150 degrees

Care and maintenance

• Can be washed in a dishwasher, but to extend the lifespan, hand washing is recommended.

• Avoid pouring completely boiling water directly into the tooth mug. Let the water steep until it stops boiling, or preheat the mug with hot tap water.

• If the mug is cold, a sudden change in temperature (boiling water in a cold mug) can cause small fine cracks in the glaze. However, these cracks do not affect the durability of the mug, and the glaze will not fall off.
