Tea Towel #89A - Odds & Ends - Wild Weave

Foekje Fleur

FOF-78765

Odds & Ends
Colorful home textiles – made from industrial surplus materials

When factories dye yarn for textile production, they often create an extra stash just in case – but much of this yarn ends up unused. Odds & Ends textiles are designed to fully utilize these remainders, creating endless, unexpected color combinations.

Collections & Colors
Odds & Ends collections are produced in batches. The factory gathers surplus materials and uses these colors to create a new design, which is then put into production. The precise design is just a starting point – during production, some of the remaining materials are used up and replaced with similar colors.

Therefore, the images you see are a guiding representation of what the textiles look like, but there will be slight variations within each batch.

Colors may vary
Since these textiles are produced in small batches from surplus materials, colors may vary. However, the general color palette is always maintained, so textiles within the same color scale can easily be combined. The product you receive may be identical to or have slight variations compared to the images on this page. The duo set consists of one textile in primarily cool tones and one in primarily warm tones.

Washing and care instructions
All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 30°C on the washing machine's cotton program with similar colors. To preserve the intensity of the colors, an organic detergent for colored laundry is recommended.

To prolong the life of the textiles, line drying is recommended, but terry products such as soft towels – especially those with a velour finish – can benefit from occasional tumble drying at medium heat to soften the fibers without the use of chemical fabric softeners.

If you live in an area with hard water, you can soften both your textiles and your washing machine by adding citric acid or vinegar to the rinse cycle from time to time.

Loose threads
This product is woven with terry loops to ensure a soft and absorbent quality. Newly woven terry loops can be more prone to loose threads, so please be careful with jewelry during the first few uses.

If a thread should come loose, never pull it! Carefully cut it off with sharp scissors – this will prevent further loose threads and does not affect the woven structure of the textiles. After the first few washes, the fibers will become more resistant to snags.

Bee's Wrap Vegan Wax Wrap - Meadow Magic - Large

Bee's Wrap

BEE-75958

Vegan Bee's Wrap

Bee's Wrap vegan Sandwich wrap with a practical string around it

This vegan wrap is in the design Meadow Magic

The package contains 1 sandwich wrap measuring 33 x 33 cm.

What is Bee's Wrap - in the vegan version?

Bee's Wrap is a great alternative to cling film, aluminum foil and other disposable products. Because Bee's Wrap can in many ways do the same thing as plastic - it can keep your food fresh. However, in a natural way. It is both good for your health and better for the environment.

Bee's Wrap Vegan consists of a piece of GOTS certified organic cotton with candelilla wax, organic coconut oil and resin.

The wrap is heated by hand and is perfect for wrapping around, for example, a rye bread meal, home-baked buns, a sandwich or cut fruit and vegetables.

Maintenance of your Bee's Wrap Vegan

Clean your Bee's Wrap under the cold or lukewarm tap. Possibly with a little mild washing-up liquid if necessary.

Wipe the wrap off and use it again.

Do not use Bee's Wrap for meat, as meat can contain bacteria that cannot be removed with cool water.

A Vegan Bee's Wrap can last approx. 1 year or more, depending on use, and can then be thrown into the compost bin. It is a 100% biodegradable product.

Be careful not to put your wraps close to heat sources (oven, dishwasher, etc.) as the wax can melt.

Beeswax Candle - Egg-shaped Easter Candle

Dipam

DIP-00553

5 million flowers in one candle
It takes an almost unimaginable effort to create a single beeswax candle. Bees must visit nearly 5 million flowers to produce enough wax for just one candle – a journey equivalent to flying two and a half times around the Earth.

During the summer months, up to 60,000 bees in a single colony work hard to collect "sunlight" in the form of nectar and pollen. Over 20 hours, worker bees transform this energy into wax in their stomachs before using it to build intricate honeycombs.

While the wax is originally colorless, it develops its deep golden hue and familiar honey scent over time as nectar and pollen are stored within it.

Advice for your beeswax candles

  • Avoid drafts: To ensure a steady flame and prevent the candle from smoking or dripping, it should be placed away from drafts.

  • Wick length: The ideal wick length is 10-15 mm. If the wick becomes too long, you can gently trim it.

  • Burn time: Allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire surface to melt before extinguishing it – this ensures an even burn.

Over time, a matte coating known as "bloom" may appear on the surface of beeswax candles; this is a natural process proving the purity of the wax. The coating can easily be wiped off with a soft cloth if you prefer a glossy finish.

Specifications:

  • Contents: 1 egg-shaped pillar candle
  • Material: 100% pure beeswax, cotton wick
  • Dimensions: Height 65 mm, width 45 mm
  • Burn time: Approximately 5 hours

Tea Cosy in organic cotton - Clay Stone

Tea Cosy in organic cotton - Clay Stone

The Organic Company

TOC-04038

Good to know about tea cosies
A good tea cosy does more than just hold heat. By insulating the pot, you ensure that the tea leaves (if still in the pot) or the extracted oils maintain the optimal temperature. This prevents the tea from becoming "flat" in taste due to rapid cooling.
Tip: Make sure the tea cosy sits flush against the table, as heat can otherwise escape from the bottom. This model is specifically designed to stand firm and heavy, which maximises its insulating capabilities.

Specifications

  • Material: 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton (both outer fabric and insulation).
  • Weave: Piqué weave with grosgrain detail.
  • Dimensions: 36 x 30 cm.
  • Certification: GOTS (responsible and chemical-free production).
