Kapok roll mattress from Cocoon Company

The roll mattress can either be used on top of a kapok mattress, which can be relatively hard.

Or you can also just buy an organic kapok roll mattress to lie on top of your current mattress. It is a simple way to take advantage of kapok's special properties.

Kapok is something very special. Kapok insulates, regulates temperature and transports moisture away from the body, which is super ideal for small children who often have difficulty regulating their body temperature. Kapok is also recommended for allergy sufferers, as house dust mites cannot live in the fibre, due to a natural content of an antibacterial bitter substance.

The roll-top mattress can also be used on top of a kapok mattress if you think the kapok mattress is a little too hard.

This roll-top mattress for the Sebra baby bed measures 72x114 cm.

The roll-top mattress is hand-stuffed with untreated organic kapok, covered with a spring of 100% organically certified cotton.
As it is hand-stuffed, there may be a slight variation in the measurements.

Also feel free to use it for the Sebra Kili baby bed. You just tuck the excess piece of mattress under the mattress until the bed is expanded with the additional mattress.

Maintenance of your kapok mattress

And they are definitely worth taking good care of.

As a rule, you should only wash your kapok mattress if strictly necessary.

If the stains are minor, then recommend we spot wash.

If it is necessary to wash your kapok mattress topper, do it like this:

• Wash preferably at 40 degrees to protect the fibre. However, 60 degrees is possible if necessary.
• Choose a short washing program, as the kapok cannot stand being wet for too long
• Choose centrifugation at 1200 revolutions to get as much water as possible out of the kapok
• Use a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleach. For example, Cocoon's soap berry or a fine detergent with or without probiotics
• Do not use fabric softener
• Dry the kapok roller mattress immediately after wash

• The kapok mattress pad is dried in the dryer alone
• Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated
• Do not use tennis balls as they break the fiber
• Choose a 30 minute program with medium heat. Look at the kapok mattress topper and repeat until it is slightly damp.
• Let the kapok mattress to dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone.
• Be careful not to dry too long in the dryer, as this can reduce the life of the fiber.

Maintenance of your woolen duvet from Cocoon Company

A woolen duvet should not be washed. The lanolin in the wool is because the lanolin in the wool is important for the duvet's temperature-regulating function - and the lanolin is quietly washed out by the duvet when it is washed.

On the other hand, it is a super good idea to air the duvet regularly. It is good for the humidity in the duvet and for the lightness. If you can air it out in freezing weather, it is the absolute best thing you can do.

If an accident has occurred, however, we recommend that you spot wash the duvet.

Alternatively, you can of course also send it to be cleaned if a more thorough cleaning of the duvet is necessary.

The wool duvet must never be tumbled dry, but must instead be left to dry.

Washing and drying your organic bedding from Cocoon Company

Cocoon's organic bedding can be washed at 60 degrees. But we recommend that you wash it at 40 degrees to look after the bed set, but of course also to look after the environment.

Use mild and deliberate detergent - e.g. this with probiotics from Byoms.

Avoid fabric softener

The bedding cannot withstand a tumble dryer, so it must be hung to dry.

If you want a smoother look, you can choose to iron your organic bedding.
