A firm side and a soft side
Side 1 has a core of organic coir and is the firm side. It gives a firm, supportive surface with plenty of airflow, as recommended for the early months. Side 2 has a core of perforated natural latex and is softer and more yielding, giving a good balance of support and comfort once your child is bigger.
