Odds & Ends collections are produced in batches. The factory collects surplus materials and uses these colors to create a new design, which is then put into production. Washing and care instructions

If a thread should come loose, never pull it! Carefully cut it off with sharp scissors – this will prevent further loose threads and will not affect the woven structure of the textiles. After the first few washes, the fibers will become more resistant to snags.

It takes an almost unimaginable effort to create a single beeswax candle. Bees must visit nearly 5 million flowers to produce enough wax for just one candle – a journey equivalent to flying two and a half times around the Earth.

During the summer months, up to 60,000 bees in a single colony work hard to collect "sunlight" in the form of nectar and pollen. Over 20 hours, worker bees transform this energy into wax in their stomachs before using it to build intricate honeycombs.

Washing and care instructions

All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 30°C in the washing machine's cotton program together with similar colours. To preserve the intensity of the colors, an organic detergent is recommended for colored washing.

To extend the life of the textiles, air drying is recommended, but terrycloth products such as soft towels – especially those with a velor surface – may benefit from an occasional tumble dryer on medium heat to soften the fibers without the use of chemical fabric softeners.

If you live in an area with chalky water, you can soften both your textiles and washing machine by adding citric acid or vinegar to the rinse cycle from time to time.

Loose Threads

This product is woven with terry loops to ensure a soft and absorbent quality. Newly woven terry loops can be more prone to loose threads, so be careful with jewelry when first worn.

If a thread should come loose, never pull it! Carefully cut it off with sharp scissors – this will prevent further loose threads and will not affect the woven structure of the textiles. After the first few washes, the fibers will become more resistant to snags.

Conditioner belongs in the lengths, not on the scalp
It is the most common mistake with conditioner, and it is easy to see why: you wash the whole head with shampoo, so why not condition the whole head too? Because the two products have different jobs.

The scalp produces sebum of its own, and that sebum travels down the hair by itself. The ends never get much of it, because they are furthest away and oldest at the same time - a shoulder-length hair has been on your head for two to three years and has been through everything that happened in that time.

Conditioner is made to give the ends what the sebum never reaches them with. Put it on the scalp and you gain nothing, but you do get flat hair at the roots. So start at around ear level and work downwards.

What makes a conditioner a conditioner
The active ingredient is called distearoylethyl dimonium chloride, and it belongs to a group known as esterquats. It carries a positive charge, while wet, worn hair carries a negative one - and the damaged places on the hair are the most negatively charged of all.

The conditioner therefore finds its own way to where the hair needs it most, and settles there. That is the whole principle behind conditioner, and it is why you can feel the difference straight away.

Alongside it come organic shea butter, the rich part of the formula and the part that goes to the dry ends, plus low molecular weight hyaluronic acid and aloe vera.

How to use it
Squeeze the excess water out of your hair first - conditioner applied to soaking wet hair is diluted before it can do anything. Work it through from ear level down, leave it for a minute or two, and rinse. Those two minutes are not a formality; they are the time it takes for the ingredients to arrive and settle.

The scent
Rosemary, lavender and geranium with sweet orange and vetiver. It is the same scent family as in Hyaluronic Hydrating Shampoo, which is a deliberate choice on Evolve's part - use the two together and the scent builds on itself instead of clashing.

Worth knowing
 

• The conditioner contains six declarable fragrance allergens from the essential oils: limonene, linalool, linalyl acetate, pinene, citronellol and citral. That is one more than in the shampoo, which does not contain citral.
• For normal to dry hair.

Breathability is what sets them apart
The ideal mattress protector solves two opposing tasks: keeping liquid out of the mattress while letting moisture through. A sealed layer solves only the first. Many people know the result - a surface that turns warm and clammy, and that your child wakes up stuck to.

Cocoon's protector was developed with breathability in mind, just as their mattresses were. Washing
Wash at 40 degrees, or up to 60 degrees after an accident. Choose a programme for heavy laundry - the protector becomes heavy when wet, and some machines struggle to spin it. If there is still a lot of water in it after the first spin, run another. The protector must be hung to dry and must not go in the tumble dryer. Please note that it may shrink by up to 8-10% in the first wash.

Kapok is also called silk cotton because its ultra-soft fibers. Kapok is light and breathable and transports moisture away from the body. The temperature-regulating effect makes it suitable both as a summer and winter down. The duvet is particularly suitable for those who find it difficult to keep warm at night or those who find it difficult to get rid of the heat.

Kapok is also recommended for allergy sufferers, as kapok contains an antibacterial substance that house dust mites cannot live in.

Maintenance of your kapok duvet

And they are definitely worth taking good care of.

If the stains are smaller, we recommend spot washing.

But if it is necessary to wash your kapok duvet, then do it like this:

• Wash preferably at 40 degrees to protect the fibre. However, 60 degrees is possible if necessary.
• Choose a short washing program, as the kapok cannot stand being wet for too long
• Choose centrifugation at 1200 revolutions to get as much water as possible out of the kapok
• Use a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleach. For example Cocoon's soap berry or a delicate detergent with or without probiotics
• Do not use fabric softener
• Dry the kapok duvet immediately after washing

• Kapok duvets are dried alone in the dryer
• Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated
• Do not use tennis balls as they break the fiber
• Choose a 30 minute program with medium heat. Look at the kapok pillow and repeat until it is slightly damp.
• Let the kapok duvet dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone.
• Be careful not to dry for too long in the dryer, as this can reduce the life of the fiber.
