How to use it

How to use your Color Wash

Use the wick together with beeswax granules or pure beeswax like this one. The beeswax is melted in a water bath - preferably in an oblong/tall container, so you have the opportunity to make fairly tall candles.

The wick is dipped in the melted beeswax until the candle has the thickness you want. It is smart to make double lights - that is, lights at each end of the wall and an unused piece in the middle. That way, you can dry the candles more easily afterwards.

Organic cotton yarn from Krea Deluxe

The cotton originates from South America and is grown in an ideal environment, where the warm climate, the fertile soil and natural rainfall combine to create the perfect conditions for organic cotton cultivation. The cotton is sown, grown and harvested without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers, and is located near mountain springs and rivers, so minimal irrigation is required. This natural cultivation and process results in longer cotton fibres, and produces an exceptionally soft yarn.

The yarn is then spun, dyed and finished at a small spinning mill in Portugal, where Krea Deluxe's unique tone-on-tone colors are carefully developed in collaboration with the local master colourist. However, Krea Deluxe's uncompromising commitment to GOTS-certified dyeing slightly limits their ability to offer a greater range of colors, as stronger and more vibrant colors require chemical agents and processes that cannot be GOTS-certified. How to use beeswax paper

• The beeswax cloth is folded around the food or bowl.
• The warmth from your hands softens the material, so it easily moulds around the food.
• The reusable wrapping paper stiffens again when cooled down, thus holding tightly.
• After use, gently clean your beeswax wrap with alcohol-free soap in cool water using a soft cloth or sponge.
• Dry the wrap with a tea towel without wringing.
• And then it's ready to use again.

• Do not soak your beeswax paper.
• Beeswax wraps should not be used for fresh, unprocessed meat.

How to make your own beeswax paper

You can either make your own beeswax paper from scratch with a piece of thin and lightweight cotton fabric or renew your worn-out beeswax wraps if the wax is wearing off.
