What is a Stasher Bag?

A Stasher Bag is a reusable and completely sealed silicone bag for storing your food, your toiletries and the like.

It is also brilliant for packed lunches.

A Stasher Bag can replace zip bags or the classic freezer bag and can be used thousands of times times.

Stasher Bags are made of pure platinum silicone, which is the absolute purest form of silicone. It is also called "liquid glass". You can safely store your food in it - including fatty and acidic ones.

Platinum-hardened silicone is primarily made of sand and oxygen. No fossil resources are therefore used in the production of Stasher Bags, nor resources that could otherwise be used for food production.

Stasher Bags can also withstand heating in the oven, microwave and sous vide pan.

How to use your Stasher Bag

As you have probably already discovered, Stasher Bags can be used for a great deal. Here are some tips for use in the oven, microwave, sous vide pot and freezer.

Stasher in the oven: Place your open bag on a baking tray and put it in the oven. We recommend heating at a maximum of 210 degrees. And leave the bag slightly open so that the steam can escape.Stasher in the microwave: Leave the bag open here too when you heat food in the microwave. If you are going to make popcorn, we recommend a Stasher Stand-up. It gives a little more space to pop.Stasher in Sous vide pot: Put the food in the bag and slowly lower it into the water. The heat causes the air to seep out of the bag and will create a vacuum around the food. Close the bag and make sure it is completely closed when it is in the water. Prepare as you normally would, but now completely without plastic.Stasher in the freezer: Use Stasher Bags to freeze your food. They are brilliant for leftovers from dinner or for wet food such as fruit or meat. Stasher Bags do not take up much space in the freezer and since they are transparent, they provide a good overview.

Tips for Stasher Bags

Your Stasher Bag may be discolored by certain foods (tomato and the like). A little smell can also be transferred if you have used your stasher bag for strong foods. Both parts can be remedied with a little baking soda and lemon.

If they get a little discolored over time, you can use vinegar and baking soda to remove them, and if that doesn't work, we have another tip up our sleeve as well.

If you have Stasher bags in Clear or lighter versions, the best way to remove discoloration is to actually let the sun do the work. If you leave your bags out in the sun for a few hours or 3, the UV rays will work to remove the discolouration.

Of course, that requires it to be out in the sky.

You can also remove food smells by putting your stasher bags in the oven at 175 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Make sure they cool down again before handling them.

You can also soak them in hot water with a little vinegar and salt for an hour. It can also help.

And then the best tip is probably just to use it again and again and again :-)

Cleaning your Stasher Bag

Please put your Stasher bag in the dishwasher. It can easily withstand that.

Otherwise you can clean it by hand washing.

How does the rinse aid work?

Rinse agent is impossible to do without if you use a dishwasher.

It helps to dissolve the minerals that can accumulate in the dishwasher.

It prevents the formation of a white coating on your crockery.

Rinse agent is used in the final phase of the dishes. It gives shine and speeds up the drying process.

The fabric softener contains only natural ingredients: alcohol, citric acid and vegetable surfactant.

Citric acid binds the limescale in the water, sugar surfactant and alcohol reduce the surface tension in the rinse water, so that the water runs off during the drying program without making limescale stains.

The fabric softener has no added perfume and breaks down easily in nature.

Ordinary baking paper is often a coated paper with a coating of silicone, which can therefore rarely be used more than once.

This makes conventional baking paper a bigger recycling problem for our environment than many of us realize. A reusable baking paper will therefore both limit the amount of disposable baking paper we send for incineration, and be good for the wallet.

What can you use baking soda for?
Baking soda has two very special properties: it has a mild abrasive effect without scratching surfaces, and it effectively neutralizes odors.

• Laundry: Add a little baking soda to the washing machine – ideal for cloth nappies and odor removal.

• Cleaning: Perfect for cleaning bathtubs, ovens, sinks, burnt pots and ceramic hobs.

• Odor removal: Remove odors from furniture, car seats, carpets and bins.

How to use your reusable paper towel

You simply take a sheet from the roll as you would any other traditional paper towel paper towel.

The sheet can be used dry, or you can wet it and use it as a cloth.

After use, throw it into the wash and wash it at no more than 40 degrees.

Note! They must be washed without fabric softener and air dried afterwards. The cloths must not be ironed.

When the cloths are dry, you can use them in exactly the same way again... and again... and again. It is possible to roll them back on the roll.

The French kitchen offers so much more than just really good food.

These indispensable copper sponges from French La droguerie ècologique are not just super pretty to look at and have lying on the kitchen table. They are also both super practical and plastic-free.

The copper sponges are good for many purposes and take even the most stubborn, stuck-on food residues.

But at the same time, it is still a relatively gentle cleaning of your pans and pots and of the stove and your kitchen sink.

A stainless steel straw is a good investment - in this case, especially if you drink a lot of smoothies or milkshakes.

A stainless steel straw is an incredible alternative to plastic. The straws can hold up to everything, they don't break and can be used again and again and again.

A good choice of straws may seem silly to some. But it makes good sense - especially because on a daily basis approx. 1 billion plastic straws. That's a lot of straws! And something that we can all do something about in everyday life, simply by choosing a more sustainable alternative. Because stainless steel can last the rest of your life.

A stainless steel straw is also a pretty nice alternative to plastic. And aesthetics certainly matter too.

This stainless steel straw is particularly suitable for smoothies and milkshakes, as it is slightly thicker than the classic straw. The suction tube is available both with and without a bend in the length 215 mm. This model has a kink.

Small rings are engraved around the kink, which gives the straw a good grip. And then it looks like the ones we're used to in plastic.

Our stainless steel straws are sold individually, as we really want to avoid redundant packaging that you just throw away anyway. Therefore, they are only packed in a small paper bag, which should protect them from scratches during handling and transport. It is the best solution for us - especially because it makes the straws much cheaper for us - and of course also for you.

Maintenance of stainless steel straws

If your stainless steel straws are not very dirty, you can simply rinse them in clean water. Possibly with a little help from a brush for cleaning straws, which is really good for scrubbing dirt off the inside.

Stainless steel straws can easily withstand a trip in the dishwasher. Just make sure you line them up in a cutlery basket or similar.

Wooden tongs

It makes very good sense to use kitchen utensils made of wood.

Wood does not emit any harmful chemicals to your food and if you use it for hot food, that is exactly the part that is extra important.

Plastic emits more harmful substances when heated.

The tongs have rounded and soft edges and lies really well in the hand.

It is perfect for, for example, turning steaks, fish and vegetables on the pan, for the grill and for catching greens from boiling water or oil.

The tongs measure 30cm. in length and 1.9 cm. in width at the widest point.

Maintenance of your wooden tongs

The tongs should be washed by hand.

Does not withstand washing in the dishwasher or soaking. Not even if it's just in a little bit of water.

So make sure you dry it as quickly as possible.

Give your tongs cooking oil regularly, so it stays nice and shiny and makes it more resistant to water etc.

How to use beeswax paper

• The beeswax cloth is folded around the food or bowl.
• The warmth from your hands makes the material soft, so it easily moulds around the food.
• The reusable wax paper hardens again when it cools down, ensuring a tight fit.
• After use, clean your beeswax cloth gently with alcohol-free soap in cool water with a soft cloth or sponge.
• The cloth is patted dry with a tea towel without wringing.
• And then it's ready to use again.

• Do not soak your beeswax paper.
• Beeswax cloths should not be used for fresh, unprocessed meat.

How to make your own beeswax paper

You can either make your own beeswax paper from scratch with a thin and light cotton fabric, or you can renew your worn beeswax cloths if the wax is wearing off.

Why should you use kitchen utensils made of wood?

Wood does not give off any harmful chemicals to your food and there is also no risk of it melting on the pan, as e.g. plastic can do when the temperatures get high.

Maintenance of your wooden saucepan

It cannot be washed in a dishwasher or soaked. Not even if it just sits in a little bit of water.

So make sure to dry it as soon as possible.

Please give your pot of cooking oil continuously. then it stays nice and shiny and makes it more resistant to water etc.

How does dishwasher salt work?
In every dishwasher, there is a so-called ion exchanger (water softener). The task of this device is to remove lime from the water so that you get "soft water" for washing. When the ion exchanger is saturated with lime, it must be cleaned – or "regenerated."

This is where the salt for the dishwasher comes into play. The product functions as regenerating salt. The salt cleans the ion exchanger so it can absorb lime again. Without sufficient dishwasher salt, your machine will wash with hard water, quickly leading to dull grey lime films on your glasses and plates, as well as potential damage to the machine's heating element.

Dosage and Usage Instructions
To achieve the best washing results and avoid lime spots, always ensure that the dishwasher's salt reservoir is filled with regenerating salt. The machine typically indicates when it is running low on salt.

If possible
Because Sonett salt is completely pure and without additives, Sonett recommends a specific setting for optimal performance:

• You should set your dishwasher's water softening system to a hardness level that is 8°dH higher than your local water's actual hardness level.

Example: If your local water utility states that the water hardness is 12°dH, you should set your dishwasher to 20°dH. Refer to your machine's manual to learn how to adjust this.

When factories dye yarn for textile production, they often create an extra stash just in case – but much of this yarn ends up unused. Odds & Ends textiles are designed to fully utilize these remainders, creating endless, unexpected color combinations.

Collections & Colors
Odds & Ends collections are produced in batches. The factory gathers surplus materials and uses these colors to create a new design, which is then put into production. The precise design is just a starting point – during production, some of the remaining materials are used up and replaced with similar colors.

Therefore, the images you see are a guiding representation of what the textiles look like, but there will be slight variations within each batch.

Colors may vary
Since these textiles are produced in small batches from surplus materials, colors may vary. However, the general color palette is always maintained, so textiles within the same color scale can easily be combined. The product you receive may be identical to or have slight variations compared to the images on this page. The duo set consists of one textile in primarily cool tones and one in primarily warm tones.

Washing and care instructions
All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 30°C on the washing machine's cotton program with similar colors. To preserve the intensity of the colors, an organic detergent for colored laundry is recommended.

To prolong the life of the textiles, line drying is recommended, but terry products such as soft towels – especially those with a velour finish – can benefit from occasional tumble drying at medium heat to soften the fibers without the use of chemical fabric softeners.

If you live in an area with hard water, you can soften both your textiles and your washing machine by adding citric acid or vinegar to the rinse cycle from time to time.

Loose threads
This product is woven with terry loops to ensure a soft and absorbent quality. Newly woven terry loops can be more prone to loose threads, so please be careful with jewelry during the first few uses.

If a thread should come loose, never pull it! Carefully cut it off with sharp scissors – this will prevent further loose threads and does not affect the woven structure of the textiles. After the first few washes, the fibers will become more resistant to snags.

Organic washing-up tablets 25 pcs

So the dishes can also be cleaned in organic soap in your dishwasher.

Why are Sonett dishwashing tablets wrapped in PE foil?
Sonett dishwashing tablets absorb moisture and therefore need a protective foil.
