Why kapok?
The kapok fibre is a thin-walled, hollow tube filled with up to 80% air. That makes it extremely light – only about an eighth of the weight of cotton – and breathable at the same time. The fibre has a natural waxy coating that makes it water-repellent, so it does not soak up moisture.
