Maintenance

Biodegradable materials are naturally capable of being broken down and returned to the earth – eventually. KOOSHOO products are created in a way that makes them durable, strong and high performing, but they are still plant-based materials, which means they will wear out (as intended) - but proper care can extend their life. To maximize lifespan, avoid storing them in direct sunlight, stretching them while wet, or leaving oils and hair products on them.

Wash your similarly colored KOOSHOO headbands in cold water and lay flat to dry. Then they are as good as new again.

Care

For cleaning, it is recommended to brush or gently wipe the bag if it gets dirty. Hand washing is possible, but be aware that the colors may fade after washing.

The bag is sewn in 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton canvas, without the use of chemicals that stabilize the colors. This means that the colors can be more delicate than on traditional materials. Over time, the bag will develop a unique vintage look, which we see as a charm of the product.

The bag is sewn by craftsmen in India, whose workplace is largely powered by solar cells, and who work together with the organization Prameya, which, among other things, runs a school that OMOM supports. For every bag OMOM has produced, they have purchased a young tree planted in the area where Prameya replants the mangrove jungle.

Usage
