Soap nuts are rich in the natural substance saponin, which acts as a mild and biodegradable detergent. They are ethically harvested by local women and transported by ship – don't fly – to reduce the CO₂ footprint.

Is the product suitable for delicate scalps?
Yes. The shampoo has an optimal pH value and contains no irritating ingredients such as synthetic perfume or sulfates. It is therefore suitable for sensitive skin and scalp.

It is completely normal for this shampoo not to produce much foam, as unlike many conventional products, it contains no synthetic foam boosters that can irritate your skin. The effectiveness remains the same.

This shampoo has a low pH value, which benefits hair and skin on the head. In an acidic environment, the hair's surface closes, making it easy to detangle. Therefore, our shampoos do not need to be used with a conditioner. If your hair type requires conditioner, we recommend using natural substances (e.g., apple cider vinegar, homemade herbal extract).

FAQ
Are soapnut detergents organic and ethical?
At present, we do not know of any more abundant and organic source of naturally plant-based saponin than soapnut skins. The soapnuts grow on wild soapnut trees. They are not produced on large plantations and are also not a burden on the local ecosystem.

Is nettle really good for oily hair?
Yes, nettle is a traditional plant with proven effects on regulating sebum and strengthening the scalp. It is particularly useful for oily or problematic scalps.

Can I use the shampoo every day?
Yes. The shampoo's natural composition and skin-friendly pH make it suitable for daily use, even for those with sensitive skin.

What does it mean that the shampoo contains no synthetic foam boosters?
It means the shampoo is milder for the skin and doesn't dry out the scalp. It foams less but still cleanses effectively.

The box has an aluminum insert, so that the bamboo is protected from the water that may be on your shampoo bar.

The box has a screw lid and is completely sealed. So you can safely put it in your bag.

The soap box is made of bamboo, which is a durable and long-lasting material.

Bamboo grows incredibly fast and even puts forth new shoots when it is harvested.

Isangs hair tonic is handcrafted in Copenhagen. It is a concentrated infusion of nourishing herbal extracts in raw apple cider vinegar.

It is a truly good organic hair care for dry hair that softens the hair, removes limescale from hard water, and leaves the hair glossy.

Can be used with every hair wash or as needed.

This variant is particularly softening and recommended for dry, frizzy, coloured, or curly hair. It has a natural scent of raw apple cider vinegar + Ylang Ylang scent. - A delicate, exotic, floral, sweet, and intoxicating scent.

The product contains natural "plant slime" from marshmallow root, burdock root, and comfrey.

These ingredients have fantastic softening properties and will also reduce frizz.

This hair tonic from Isangs also contains vegetable glycerin which attracts and binds moisture in the hair.

The product is a thin liquid.

Please note that sediment is normal in this hair tonic.

It is partly due to small pieces of herbs, primarily peppermint, which are finely crushed before the extract is taken from them. Furthermore, it is because the tonic is based on raw and unpasteurised apple cider vinegar, where the vinegar mother is still intact. The vinegar mother is filtered out, but it will continue to grow in the small bottles over time. The vinegar mother is a gelatinous substance primarily based on acetic acid bacteria. It can make apple cider vinegar cloudy.

Although the vinegar mother may not look very appealing, it contains large amounts of nutrient-rich ingredients. If you wish, you can save it and continue to work with it - similar to kombucha :-)

Shampoo:

How to use Meishai Treatment

For best results, use Meishai Treatment after washing your hair with Meishai Shampoo and before using Meishai Conditioner. The treatment works by opening the outer layer of the hair so that it can be rebuilt and strengthened from within. Step-by-step

Isangs hair tonic is handmade in Copenhagen. It is a concentrated infusion of nourishing herbal extracts in raw apple cider vinegar.

This variant is really good, organic hair care for sensitive and irritated scalps.

It also removes limescale from hard water and leaves the hair shiny.

Can be used with every hair wash or as needed.

This variant is recommended for those with sensitive and irritated scalps.It has a natural scent of rå apple cider vinegar and Isangs Eucalyptus.- A fresh, clean and sharp camphor-like scent with spicy undertones.

The ingredients have various nurturing properties:

• Natural salicin from white willow bark reduces inflammation

How to use hair tonic from Isangs

• Dilute 1 tbsp. hair tonic in 500 ml. water.

• Rinse it out after 2 minutes. It is easy to rinse out.
• Use it every time you wash hair with a shampoo bar
• Or use it as a hair treatment as needed to remove build-up from hard water in hair and scalp.

Ghassoul powder is actually lava clay that comes from Morocco.

The clay has been used for centuries to clean both skin and hair. And the clay is still used today.

The fine particles of the Ghassoul clay bind dirt and grease from the skin and hair.

How to use Ghassoul powder

• Mix the ghassoul powder with water and let it swell a little for approx. 10 min.

• As a facial cleanser and mask against impurities: Mix 1/2 spoonful of clay with 2 tsp. water. Massage onto your wet skin and leave on for approx. 5 minutes Rinse thoroughly.


• As a body cleanser: 1 spoonful of clay is mixed with 6 dl. water. Massage into your wet skin and rinse off.


• For the bath: Mix 3 spoonfuls of ghassoul powder in the bath water. Rinse off after bathing.


• As a shampoo: Mix 1 spoonful of ghassoul clay with 2.5 dl. water. Massage into your wet scalp until the consistency is deliciously creamy. Rinse thoroughly and use a little hair tonic afterwards.


• As a dry shampoo: Put a little ghassoul powder in your hair (especially on the scalp where it is extra greasy) and comb the powder through the hair with a good brush

TIP: You can mix up your ghassoul clay beforehand. It simply needs to be stored in an airtight container, preferably dark and cool, and will last for approx. 10 days at room temperature.

A conditioner bar is a really good way to save the earth's resources.
A lot of water is not added that has to be transported around and there is no need for a lot of packaging either.

No boring chemicals, sulfates or silicones are added either.

How to use your conditioner bar from Mellow Mind
You can use it as a regular conditioner or let it sit longer before rinsing it out and benefit from it as a definite hair treatment.

• It is very concentrated, so no straightener is needed a lot with every hair wash.
• When you have washed your hair, run the conditioner bar over the hair and into the lengths. Avoid too much contact with the scalp. Leave it on for up to five minutes and then rinse the hair.
• When you are finished, rinse the bar clean and let it do a good job, e.g. by using one of our fine soap containers.
• This conditioner bar has an expiry date approx. one year after the production date. You will find it on the batch number on the label, where the first four digits indicate the month and year of production.

The softening ingredients in the conditioner bar are Broccoli Seed Oil, which is a natural alternative to silicone. It smoothes the outside of the hair strands and limits frizz in the hair. Cocoa Butter reduces breakage and strengthens the hair follicles and Pro-Vitamin B5 has a regenerating effect, which provides moisture and protection.
Quality is the core of Mellow Mind's production. Everything is handmade and only produced in small batches to avoid waste. Because it is handmade, there may be slight differences in shape and colour.

The packaging of the soaps is minimal, it just consists of a paper banderole made from 100% recycled fibres, it is all naturally Swan-labelled and FSC-certified.
