How to use your OrganiCup Mini
- Make sure to boil your menstrual cup before use. Both the very first time you use it and before each new menstrual cycle
- Wash your hands thoroughly
- Fold the cup like a C or by folding it down on one side as shown here:
- Insert the OrganiCup folded into the vagina until the stem is no longer visible from the outside. The cup will unfold inside you.
- If you are unsure whether your OrganiCup has unfolded, you can feel around the bottom of the menstrual cup. It should feel round and not have bumps.
Removing your OrganiCup Mini
- Make sure your OrganiCup is emptied after 12 hours.
- Wash your hands thoroughly
- Gently lift the stem until you can feel the bottom of the cup.
- Pinch the bottom of the cup or before your index finger up the side of the cup to break the vacuum and take it out
- Don't pull the stem all the way out. It is important that you break the vacuum
- Empty the cup in the toilet and rinse it. If you do not have access to water, you can use an OrganiWipe instead to disinfect it
NOTE: If you have inserted an IUD, be aware that the vacuum can in rare cases move your IUD. It is therefore important that you break the vacuum before pulling out your OrganiCup.
