The set consists of two square stainless steel pots with a total capacity of 250 ml divided into 3 compartments: A large 200 ml pot with two fixed compartments and a small 50 ml mini pot. Both pots feature soft platinum silicone lids with a small tab on the rim, making them leakproof while still easy for little hands to lift off. The mini snack pot fits inside SteelMate's 5-compartment lunch box, and both snack pots can be stored inside the 3-compartment lunch box.

Square Snack Pots for Lunch Boxes
This snack pot set from SteelMate is designed to keep track of life's little extra treats. The set includes two square stainless steel containers: A large 200 ml pot (14.5 x 6.6 x 3.8 cm) divided into one larger and one smaller compartment, and a compact 50 ml mini pot (5.1 x 5.1 x 3.3 cm).

The square shape makes it easy to make the most of the space inside children's lunch boxes, sitting stably without sliding around.

Leakproof and Easy for Children to Open
Both pots feature flexible lids made from food-grade platinum silicone, which seal leakproof around the steel rim. The lids are equipped with a small tab in the corner that provides a good grip for smaller fingers. This means children can easily pull the lid off during recess without adult help.

The leakproof design allows you to safely pack dips, hummus, or fruit juices in the school bag, while the two-compartment layout in the large pot keeps things like vegetables and dip separate.

304 (18/8) Steel and Food Safety
The steel containers are made from premium 304 (18/8) stainless steel. The steel has a completely smooth, non-porous surface, ensuring that the pots neither absorb nor impart odors, flavors, or colors. All materials touching the food are approved for food contact under EU regulations.

The set also fits inside SteelMate's steel lunch boxes: The 50 ml mini pot fits inside the 5-compartment lunch box, and both pots can be placed inside the 3-compartment lunch box. The pots can also be used to store dressings, toppings, or a portion of fruit in the refrigerator.

Maintenance and Usage
Both steel containers and silicone lids are dishwasher safe for daily convenience. Wash the set thoroughly before first use.

Important note: The pots are not insulated and do not keep food hot or cold on their own. They must never be used in a microwave, conventional oven, on induction hobs, or over an open flame. Also, please note that strongly coloring spices such as curry, turmeric, and paprika can leave permanent stains on both the steel and silicone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my child close the pot by themselves as well?
Yes. The lid is pressed into place along the rim, which doesn't require hard pressing – unlike clip-latch lids that need to be pushed down on both sides simultaneously. It's worth practicing once at home so your child knows how the lid should sit before it goes into the bag.

What happens if the pot gets dropped?
It may get dents and scratches, but it will still remain leakproof and fully usable. Stainless steel doesn't crack or shatter like plastic – signs of use are patina, not damage. If the rim takes a hard hit, it's worth checking that the lid still seals properly all the way around.

How do I remove odors from the silicone lid?
The steel itself does not absorb odors, but silicone can hold onto them. Soak the lid in lukewarm water with a tablespoon of baking soda or a splash of vinegar for about 15 minutes, then rinse. Store the pots with the lids off so moisture and odors aren't trapped inside between uses.

Can the pots be used for yogurt, skyr, or baby food?
Yes. The 50 ml mini pot holds a portion of baby food or a dollop of skyr for fruit, while the large pot holds a standard serving of yogurt in one of its compartments. The steel gives off no flavor, so acidic foods like yogurt and fruit taste just as they should.

Can the pots be stacked in the kitchen cupboard?
Yes, and the square shape ensures they stand stably without tipping or rolling away. The mini pot takes up virtually no space and can sit on top of or next to the large pot. Store them without their lids so they stay fresh inside.

Is the set enough for a full lunch, or do I need more?
