The Kapok fiber is unsprayed and completely free of chemicals. It also contains a bitter substance that makes it impossible for house dust mites to live in it. That is why it is also very allergy-friendly.

Maintenance of your kapok car seat insert
The insert can be washed in a washing machine if necessary.
How to wash your kapok product- Wash at 40 degrees to protect the fibre. However, 60 degrees is possible if necessary.
- Choose a short washing program, as the kapok cannot stand being wet for too long
- Choose centrifugation at 1200 revolutions to get as much water as possible out of the kapok
- Use a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleach. For example, Cocoon's soap berry or a fine detergent with or without probiotics
- Do not use fabric softener
- Dry the kapok product immediately after wash
How to dry your kapok product
- The kapok product is dried in the tumble dryer alone
- Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated
- Do not use tennis balls as they break the fiber
- Choose a 30 minute program with medium heat. Look at the kapok product and repeat until it is slightly damp
- Let the kapok product dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone.
- Be careful not to dry too long in the dryer, as this can reduce the life of the fiber.
