How to wash your kapok mattress topper- Wash preferably at 40 degrees to protect the fibre. However, 60 degrees is possible if necessary.
- Choose a short washing program, as the kapok cannot stand being wet for too long
- Choose centrifugation at 1200 revolutions to get as much water as possible out of the kapok
- Use a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleach. For example, Cocoon's soap berry or a fine detergent with or without probiotics
- Do not use fabric softener
- Dry the kapok roller mattress immediately after wash
How to dry your kapok mattress pad
- The kapok mattress pad is dried in the dryer alone
- Give yourself plenty of time. We recommend using dryer balls in wool to reduce drying time. They also ensure that the fibers are gently separated
- Do not use tennis balls as they break the fiber
- Choose a 30 minute program with medium heat. Look at the kapok mattress topper and repeat until it is slightly damp.
- Let the kapok mattress to dry in a warm place until the rest of the moisture is gone.
- Be careful not to dry too long in the dryer, as this can reduce the life of the fiber.
