Kapok is a natural fiber that grows wild in India.
For centuries it has been used for filling in mattresses, duvets, pillows, teddy bears, etc.
But when polyester gained popularity, this kind of filling has gradually replaced kapok.
But luckily Cocoon is trying to do something about that.
Because kapok fiber has so much to offer and can be used for many different sleeping products.
Kapok is both temperature-regulating, insulating and completely natural.
The Kapok fiber is unsprayed and completely free of chemicals. It also contains a bitter substance that makes it impossible for house dust mites to live in it. That is why it is also very allergy-friendly.
This baby nest is made of natural kapok and of delicious and durable organic GOTS certified cotton on the outside.
It gives your baby a nice and embracing feeling and ensures that the child cannot roll around.
The bottom of the baby nest is also filled with kapok, so you can use it on a cold surface. For example on a floor under an activity stand.
The temperature-regulating properties of the kapok fiber really come into their own, so baby can get rid of excess heat and moisture.
Maintenance of your kapok baby nest
The cover on this baby nest cannot be removed. We therefore recommend that you purchase an additional cover. It is available in both Flamingo Pink here and Dusted Brown just here
And otherwise you can refresh your baby nest with this odor remover, which uses healthy bacteria to kill any bad and smelly bacteria.
We do not recommend that you wash your baby nest.
