Glimmer is not the solution to our environmental problems, is it? No! But glitter spreads joy, magic and smiles on the face, which is why it's absolutely fantastic that we no longer have to opt out of the colorful, sparkling and festive mood spreader to take care of our nature. Traditional plastic mica is made of PET which never breaks down, and since mica is in such small particles, it is in practice pure microplastic and nothing else. And as you know, microplastics are an insidious culprit when it comes to polluting our nature. We can't really see it and therefore it easily goes under the radar. When the glittering microplastic particles end up in the sea, marine animals also easily mistake the plastic for food and eat it. And maybe we eat it ourselves as the last link in the food chain. And this is where EcoSparkles comes into the picture. EcoSparkles is a Danish company that carries 100% plastic-free and biodegradable glitter, even in high quality. Their products are also packaged completely without plastic. The vision behind EcoSparkles is to spread the message of natural lifestyle as well as protection of our nature and environment - but still spreading joy and colors. The owner and founder behind EcoSparkles, Danish Nanna Stofberg, has not only given us an excellent alternative to microplastic glitter, she has also made it a priority to send 8% of the company's annual profit to Amazoonico in Ecuador. Amazoonico has been around since 1993 and has helped over 3000 wild animals back to freedom. As part of a larger project, Selva Viva, they are working to restore biodiversity and help endangered species survive in a larger area of ??protected rainforest. The love for Mother Earth runs deep in the heart of EcoSparkles, just as it does in the Eco family.

Ingredients in EcoSparkles biodegradable mica
The basic ingredient in Shimmer from EcoSparkles is cellulose primarily from eucalyptus wood which is grown in European plantations. It is grown according to PEFC standards, which promises responsible forestry.
The plant film is colored with natural cosmetic pigments and 0.1% aluminum for the shiny effect.
Ingredients: 90% cellulose, 8% styrene, 0.1% aluminum, cosmetic pigments
Advantages of EcoSparkles glitter
Disclaimer: The dark blue coarse glitter grains in this mix can unfortunately rub off a little on the skin. This is due to the plant-based base film and the fact that the product is not coated with a thick layer of plastic. It is only seen in individual users and is due to the PH value of the user's skin. The contamination is completely harmless and will not cause any permanent staining. We recommend that if you experience contamination that you soften the skin with coconut oil for 15 minutes and then wash the skin with lukewarm water and a mild soap.
