Wool duvets in organic merino wool
A wool duvet from the Cocoon Company is really a wool duvet in a special class. The wool is carded into small soft clouds of wool fibres, which make these duvets some of the softest you can imagine. Our wool comforters are made from the finest organic merino wool from South American merino sheep and sewn into a GOTS certified organic soft cotton. The wool duvets are produced in the EU.

Maintenance of your woolen duvet from Cocoon Company
A woolen duvet should not be washed. The lanolin in the wool is because the lanolin in the wool is important for the duvet's temperature-regulating function - and the lanolin is quietly washed out by the duvet when it is washed.
On the other hand, it is a super good idea to air the duvet regularly. It is good for the humidity in the duvet and for the lightness. If you can air it out in freezing weather, it is the absolute best thing you can do.
If an accident has occurred, however, we recommend that you spot wash the duvet.
Alternatively, you can of course also send it to be cleaned if a more thorough cleaning of the duvet is necessary.
The wool duvet must never be tumbled dry, but must instead be left to dry.

The benefits of the Cocoon Wool Duvet
Why choose a wool duvet over down or feathers?
While down and feathers effectively retain heat, they often have problems regulating moisture and excess heat. This means that you often have to lift the duvet during the night to avoid overheating. Wool, on the other hand, has a completely unique ability to balance your body temperature by absorbing moisture when you get too hot and releasing heat when you are cold. This is why this duvet works optimally in all seasons, both hot summers and cool winters.
