What is a Bee's Wrap?
Bee's Wrap is a great alternative to cling film, aluminum foil and freezer bags. Because Bee's Wrap can in many ways the same as plastic can. It can keep your food fresh in a natural way. It is both good for your health and for the environment.
A Bee's Wrap consists of a piece of GOTS certified organic cotton with beeswax and Jojoba oil.
The beeswax wrap is heated with the hands and placed as a lid on a bowl, pie tin or something else. Alternatively, you can use Bee's Wrap to wrap around a piece of cheese, a rye bread or an apple. The possibilities are endless.
Maintain your Bee's Wrap
Clean Bee's Wrap under the cold or lukewarm tap. Wipe off and use again.
Do not use Bee's Wrap for meat, as meat may contain bacteria that cannot be removed with cold/lukewarm water.
Bee's Wrap can last approx. 1 year or more and can then be thrown into the compost bin. It is a 100% biodegradable product.

Keep your Bees Wrap away from heat sources such as oven, dishwasher etc., as the heat can melt the wax.

Bee's Wrap is a super natural alternative to cling film, aluminum foil and other disposable products. Because Bee's Wrap can, in many ways, the same as plastic, it can keep your food fresh. It is both good for your health and good for the environment.
Bee's Wrap Vegan consists of a piece of GOTS certified organic cotton with candelilla wax, organic coconut oil and resin.
The wrap is warmed with the hands and used to wrap around, for example, cheese, rye bread, sandwiches or cut fruit and vegetables. You can also use Bee's Wrap to put over bowls, pie tins or whatever you need to protect.
Maintaining your Bee's Wrap Vegan
Clean your Bee's Wrap under the cold or lukewarm tap. Possibly with a little mild detergent if necessary.
Wipe the wrap dry and use it again.
Do not use Bee's Wrap for meat, as meat may contain bacteria that cannot be removed with cool water.
A Vegan Bee's Wrap can last approx. 1 year or more, depending on use, and then can be tossed in the compost bin. It is a 100% biodegradable product.
Be careful not to put your wraps close to heat sources (oven, dishwasher, etc.) as the wax can melt.

Beeswax food wrapping
With Haps Nordic's beeswax paper, you can wrap your food in an incredibly easy and natural way, instead of using disposable packaging like cling film, freezer bags, and baking paper.
You can use them for everything from bread and fruit, to covering a bowl in the fridge, or for your sandwich in your lunch pack as a kind of reusable wrapping paper.
They can be used for almost all types of food, but due to the risk of bacterial development, you should not use beeswax paper for fresh, unprocessed meat.
If you take good care of your beeswax wraps, they can last up to a year or even longer. But you can always give them new life with a new round of wax. You will find a link to DIY beeswax wraps at the bottom of this page.
How to use beeswax paper
- The beeswax cloth is folded around the food or bowl.
- The warmth from your hands softens the material, so it easily moulds around the food.
- The reusable wrapping paper stiffens again when cooled down, thus holding tightly.
- After use, gently clean your beeswax wrap with alcohol-free soap in cool water using a soft cloth or sponge.
- Dry the wrap with a tea towel without wringing.
- And then it's ready to use again.
- Do not soak your beeswax paper.
- Beeswax wraps should not be used for fresh, unprocessed meat.
How to make your own beeswax paper
You can either make your own beeswax paper from scratch with a piece of thin and lightweight cotton fabric or renew your worn-out beeswax wraps if the wax is wearing off.
