Maintenance of your kapok mattress

Because the slab base will not be able to transport moisture and heat away from the mattress and in the worst case this can result in fungal spores at the bottom of your mattress.The mattress is hand-stuffed with loose natural fibres, and therefore the mattress must be maintained once in a while as needed, where you put the mattress on its side and massage/press the fiber from the edge and towards the middle, where the mattress is under the most stress use. Otherwise, the mattress can form a hole where the kapok fiber is pressed the most.
