Ecology and well-being while you sleep
When it comes to your bed environment, you should not compromise on quality. Therefore, it makes good sense to buy a kapok mattress, which is both 100% organic, temperature-regulating and allergy-friendly.
There are many good reasons to choose a kapok mattress. The primary reasons are that kapok mattresses, in addition to being comfortable, are also hypoallergenic and temperature regulating. We Danes sleep an average of 8 hours a day. That's a lot of hours a year. Therefore, it makes good sense to choose a Kapok mattress, which makes the night's sleep more comfortable by e.g. to transport the sweat away from the body while you sleep.
A kapok mattress is also extremely allergy-friendly. Neither house dust mites nor fungi can survive in the mattress, as is the case with ordinary mattresses. In addition, the kapok is not exposed to sprays or the like. It is a clean and organic product. Organic kapok mattresses also do not contain formaldehyde, flame retardants or fluorine substances, just as most conventional mattresses unfortunately do. As mentioned, Kapok mattresses are natural and 100% organic. A tribute to a chemical-free everyday life.
As with our other kapok products, each and every kapok mattress is hand-sewn, and is also available in an infinite number of sizes. If you do not find the desired size in our organic webshop, you are very welcome to contact Økofamily.dk. The size can be mostly adjusted as desired. If you therefore need a custom-made kapok mattress, you must finally contact us. With organic kapok, most things can actually be done. The delivery time for mattresses in special sizes is between 8-12 weeks.
At home at Økofamily we have slept on kapok mattresses and kapok roll mattresses for a few years. Even before we opened our organic webshop, we were excited about the fantastic qualities of kapok. A bed environment composed of kapok products provides calm nights and a green conscience. It is pleasant that the moisture is transported away from the body - especially for our small children.
Personally, I grew up sleeping on cold foam mattresses. Cold foam that keeps the heat in, and which also doesn't have the best lying comfort. Fortunately, a lot has happened on the mattress front since then. The kapok mattress is a fantastic example of that.
The only minus I can immediately think of is that a kapok mattress is often a little harder to sleep on because the large content of kapok. Therefore, I would also recommend that you buy a kapok roll mattress to lie on top of the new kapok mattress if you want a softer sleeping experience. At Økofamily, however, we also have several customers who prefer a small-hard kapok mattress. When it comes to a good night's sleep, there are big differences from person to person.
