As with our other kapok products, each and every kapok mattress is hand-sewn, and is also available in an infinite number of sizes. If you therefore need a custom-made kapok mattress, you must finally contact us. With organic kapok, most things can actually be done. The delivery time for mattresses in special sizes is between 8-12 weeks.
Økofamily's own experience with kapok mattresses and roll mattresses
At home at Økofamily we have slept on kapok mattresses and kapok roll mattresses for a few years. Even before we opened our organic webshop, we were excited about the fantastic qualities of kapok. A bed environment composed of kapok products provides calm nights and a green conscience. It is pleasant that the moisture is transported away from the body - especially for our small children.
Personally, I grew up sleeping on cold foam mattresses. Cold foam that keeps the heat in, and which also doesn't have the best lying comfort. Fortunately, a lot has happened on the mattress front since then. The kapok mattress is a fantastic example of that.
The only minus I can immediately think of is that a kapok mattress is often a little harder to sleep on because the large content of kapok. Therefore, I would also recommend that you buy a kapok roll mattress to lie on top of the new kapok mattress if you want a softer sleeping experience.
