ZAO Organic Eyeshadow - Cacao Satin
This organic eyeshadow No. 280 in the colour Cacao Satin is an intense, deep brown shade with an "Ultra Shiny" finish that catches the light and creates depth.

The eyeshadow is supplied as a rectangular refill, specifically fitting ZAO’s refillable magnetic palettes. By using the refill system, you reuse your existing palette and replace only the colour itself, which significantly reduces the amount of packaging compared to traditional makeup.

The formula is 100% of natural origin, certified organic, and vegan. ZAO combines makeup with skincare by including active ingredients such as vegetable squalene (extracted from olives) and micronized bamboo powder.

These ingredients ensure that the eyeshadow not only sits beautifully on the skin but also protects, softens, and remineralizes the delicate eye area. The texture is silky soft and easy to work with, ensuring a durable result without drying out the skin.

Intense shine and natural ingredients
This "Ultra Shiny" eyeshadow is designed to reflect light, making it ideal for creating dimension in your makeup look or for use at evening events.

Although the finish is shiny, the content of bamboo powder (which is rich in silica) ensures absorption of excess oil on the eyelid, improving durability.

Vegetable Squalene
Extracted from olive oil. This substance resembles the skin's own sebum (oil), providing fantastic affinity with the skin. It strengthens the hydrolipidic barrier and protects against dehydration.

Bamboo Powder (Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Powder)
A white powder extracted from bamboo nodes. The high silica content helps to remineralize the epidermis and regenerate the skin.

How to apply the perfect eye makeup
To get the most out of your ZAO eyeshadow, the following procedure is recommended:

Preparation: Extend durability by first applying ZAO Fluid Eye Primer 258 to the entire eyelid.
Application: Use a shading brush (e.g., Shading Brush 704) to apply Cacao Satin to the entire lid for an intense look.
Definition: If you wish to define the eye further, you can use an angled brush (Angled Brush 706) with a darker shade along the lash line.
Highlight: Light up the inner corner of the eye with a lighter pearly colour to open up the eye.

Compatibility
This rectangular refill is compatible with ZAO's Bamboo Boxes and the larger palettes. Note that this is not the round refill, but the rectangular model.

How to Use Your Organic Eyeshadow

Apply your ZAO eyeshadow with a good brush. We recommend a Shading brush, which you can find right here
Apply your eyeshadow to the entire eyelid
Feel free to use circular motions when applying your eyeshadow. It gives a more lasting result
Use a lighter colour in the inner corner of the eye and a darker colour in the outer corner of the eyelid.

We recommend removing your makeup with cotton pads like these and maybe also with a bit of this cleansing oil. It's super effective.

This organic eyeshadow contains, among other things, bamboo powder. Bamboo powder contains a lot of silica, which moisturises and regenerates your skin. It prevents your skin from starting to shine.
