This safety razor ensures you a close shave without red and irritated skin.
It will take you a few more minutes to shave, but you will really love it in the long run.
Shaving brushThe bristles of the brush itself are handmade Pure Badger.
Pure badger is good quality natural badger hair.
The brush is soft and great to work with.
This shaving brush has a knot size of 21mm, which is equivalent to a size Medium.
HolderYour Mühle shaving brush should preferably dry upside down. This will ensure that it dries up properly and that it keeps its shape.
And your Safety Razor gets dull lying without protection, so it also benefits from hanging in a holder.
For this purpose, Mühle has made this smart holder, where everything can be assembled and decorated in your bathroom.
How do you use a Safety Razor?
Have you tried a safety Sazor - or a DE scraper like this one, you'll probably just have to get used to using it. And your skin probably needs it too.
But follow this procedure - and you're pretty much on your way:
- Moisten skin and beard/hair with warm water
- Use shaving foam or a shaving brush and lather it up well - possibly. with a brush
- Check your scraper and make sure the scraper head and handle are not loose. However, only tighten the screw if it is loose. Then you are sure that the blade is at the right angle
- Start your shave and hold the scraper at a 30 degree angle to the skin
- Let the scraper slide over the skin with light pressure
- Shave only in the direction of the hairs - not against the hairs
- Tighten the skin in places where it can be difficult to get a flat surface - e.g. on the neck
For this scraper you can use all classic razor blades. For example these from Mühle.
If you need to take your razor on holiday, it is a really good idea to protect it (and everything around it) with this blade protector.
