These indispensable copper sponges from French La droguerie ècologique are not just super pretty to look at and have lying on the kitchen table. They are also both super practical and plastic-free.

The copper sponges are good for many purposes and take even the most stubborn, stuck-on food residues.

Usage

Washing machines and dishwashers:

• Put 200 g of powder in the drum of an empty washing machine or the bottom of an empty dishwasher.

• Start the appliance at 50-60 °C.

• When the water is heated, turn off the appliance for 30 minutes to let the citric acid work.

• Switch on again and complete the program including rinsing.
  

Coffee machines:

• Dissolve 1 tablespoon of powder in warm water.

• Let the solution run through the machine's brewing cycle.

• Then rinse the machine thoroughly with clean water.
  

Electric kettles:

• Fill the kettle with water and add 1 tablespoon of powder.

• Boil the water, turn off and leave for 30 minutes.

• Empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

One gram of activated carbon can have a surface area of ??500-3000 m2, and it is precisely this large surface area that makes activated carbon so fantastically effective.

Copper cloth for cleaning

It must not be used on Teflon and non-stick surfaces, but can easily clean enamel, ceramic glass, porcelain, glass, sinks, ovens, stainless steel, pots and pans.
You can also remove rust from e.g. cutlery.

Latex gloves for cleaning

Although you most likely use chemical-free cleaning agents, it can be hard on your hands to be in water for a long time, and sometimes you also have to use slightly harsher agents to get rid of the worst dirt

- therefore it is a good idea to have a pair of latex gloves to protect the skin on your hands. We have found a version that we at Økofamily can vouch for.

The gloves here are made in Europe by French La droguerie écologique; a brand that strikes a blow for both gentle production and clean materials and local, European workplaces. So we really like that! They are thus a good alternative to traditional rubber gloves and plastic gloves.

These cleaning gloves are made of rubber from FSC certified plantations.

The latex gloves can be used for washing dishes, various household tasks, gardening etc.

It is made of oiled oak from German Bürstenahus Redecker. Linseed oil has been used.

Leather care from BISTAD

Now there is an option for organic leather care with this delicious case from BISTAD.

This beautiful leather care is made from organic oils and completely pure beeswax from "Grøn Voks Pulje".

Grøn Voks Pulje is a designation for wax that comes from bee farms where neither pesticides nor antibiotics are used.

It is a leather wax that is suitable for most types of leather goods. It softens and protects your leather products.

This leather care comes in a small glass jar with a metal lid and contains 70 ml. leather care in the jar.

This product is handmade in Aarhus, i.a. of vulnerable citizens. Minor variations may therefore occur in the individual products. Labels etc. therefore do not always sit perfectly straight either. It has no effect on the product's quality.

Maintenance of your wooden pot brush

The pot brush can last a very long time if you make sure to dry it properly when it is not in use.

Put the pot brush in a dry place to dry when it is not in use.

If necessary, give the pot brush a little cooking oil occasionally. It refreshes the wood and makes it more resistant to water.

The duster is made of untreated wood and the finest lambswool.

It is suitable for all materials - even the delicate ones.

It has a leather strap for suspension.

Thanks to its natural properties, the lamb's wool is made to attract dust and can easily clean even fragile objects.

When you have dusted, you simply shake the dust broom to get the dust off the broom again.
If you think it could use a wash, you can easily do that too. Wash it in lukewarm water and with a mild soap, preferably wool soap, and then let it dry at room temperature. Finally, you can brush it carefully.
