Compostable waste bags - 30 litres
BioBagBIB-69031
Please note that the bags are breathable. This means that wet food waste can evaporate and thereby reduce rotting and bad odours. We therefore recommend that you use a ventilated kitchen bin for the waste bags, so that together with the bags, it can ensure that the food waste evaporates. It is therefore important to empty the bag often, so that it does not remain with wet waste for too long.
The bags do not begin to compost simply with normal storage, but will lose their elasticity over time.

Beeswax block candle - burn time 75 hours
BISTADBIS-20244
Block candles made of pure beeswax from Aarhusian BISTAD
Here you get a completely natural block candle made from pure beeswax from Grøn Voks Pulje - i.e. wax that comes from bee farms where neither pesticides nor antibiotics are used.
It is a beautiful candle in all its simplicity and naturalness - and a much better light for the environment. Beeswax candles are a natural and chemical-free alternative to candles made of stearin and paraffin.
This product is handmade in Aarhus, among others. of vulnerable citizens. Minor variations may therefore occur in the individual products. It has no effect on the quality of the light.
BISTAD is a social economy company where there is always room for "the weird". We clearly support that at Økofamily.
The light is approx. 7.5 cm. high and originates from beeswax gathered from local beehives distributed over central Jutland - beeswax from Grøn Voks Pulje.
It has a burning time of around 40 hours.
When you buy these beeswax candles, you make an important difference:
- for vulnerable citizens
- for the honey bee
- for your indoor climate
- for nature
- for the CO2 released
- for yourself and your loved ones
How to use your beeswax candle correctly and safely
- Continuously cut the wick down - this way the candle burns best and slowly, and you avoid the candle becoming sooty.
- At the same time, you must avoid drafts in the room, where the light is.
- The wick should burn up by itself, but if a small piece falls off and lands in the light, it reduces the quality of the fire.
Also, pay attention to the fire authorities' instructions for burning candles:
- Never leave a lighted candles.
- Always place lit candles so that children and animals cannot knock them over.
- Always supervise candles.
- Always turn off candles when you go to bed or leave the home.
- Calves must be placed well away from fluttering curtains.
- Never have candles in children's rooms.
- Candles (especially tealights) can float out and begin to burn
- Do not blow out light, but smother the flame. For example with a pot that is placed over the candle(s) with the bottom in the air.
