Cocoon Company

TEA-006000

Reusable tea filter

Pack of 5 reusable tea filters from Danish Cocoon Company.

The tea filters are made of GOTS certified organic cotton.

The fabric tea filters can be used again and again and that way you can ditch the disposable filter or the expensive tea in small bags.

By using your tea filter again, you save both the environment and your economy from unnecessary resources and expenses.

If you use, for example, 3 tea filters or tea bags a day, you use a total of 1095 per year. You save them with these 5 filters, which should last 1 year each if you take good care of them.

The tea filters measure 8.5 x 11.5 cm.

How to use your reusable tea filter

These tea filters are brilliant for loose tea.

Put your tea directly into the tea filter and tie it up. Use it as usual.

Rinse the tea filter and hang it to dry after each use. Nothing else is necessary, but you can use a mild detergent if you wish.

Maintenance of your reusable tea filter

Before the first use and then every 6 - 8 weeks, the tea filter should be boiled in a pot for approx. 10 minutes or simply wash with a kitchen sink.

If food gets on your tea filter, you should also boil the filter for approx. 10 min.

If your tea filter becomes too dense over time, so that the tea finds it difficult to flow through, you can benefit from boiling it with a little limescale remover. For example this really effective and conscious version.

The Organic Company

TOC-03529

Reusable fabric tea filter from The Organic Company

It makes sense to use things over and over again. Both for the environment, but also for your own finances.

You get a lot more tea for your money when you buy it in bulk.

And then you save the environment from a whole lot of disposable bags and packaging by using your own cloth tea filter.

This tea filter is made of GOTS certified organic cotton.

Note that it is sold WITHOUT a stick.

The tea filter measures 8 x 10 cm.

It fits perfectly for a single cup of tea.

The tea filter is sold loose without a stick, but you can easily use a chopstick, a skewer or perhaps a teaspoon for the task.

If you want to get the stick, then you must choose the set that contains tea bags in size small and medium and the fine stick. You can find it here

How to use your reusable fabric tea filter

Wash or boil the tea filter before use. It can be washed in a washing machine at 30 degrees. Or simply by hand with a little soap.

You can also simply boil the tea filter in a pot.

Fill tea in the tea filter and insert the stick into the small straps in the tea bag.

Put the stick over your cup of hot water and let the tea steep for as long as necessary.

When you are finished, empty the tea filter into the bin and rinse the filter and put/hang to dry.

The filter can also be washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees, but this is often not necessary.

A boil once in a while is often enough.
