Natural sponges and loofah

Usage

Put your soap bar on the loofah sponge and let the bar dry completely before next use.

When the sponge becomes discolored or worn by soap, it can be washed in the dishwasher – up to three times – and used again.

An effective way to remove dead skin cells from the body. By removing them, the new, healthy skin emerges and it can better absorb your skin care products such as oil or cream.

You can use the sponge on both dry and wet skin, however, if you use it on dry skin, you must do it immediately before a bath, so that the dead skin cells can be washed off the body.

Use

• Use it 1-2 times a week
• Scrub the skin with soft, circular movements
• Start from the bottom and move upwards and towards the heart
• Once you have used the loofah sponge, hang it to dry. It is a natural material and can therefore easily deteriorate if it is not allowed to dry completely after use.
• Wash the sponge approx. every 2-3 weeks to keep it free of bacteria. You can either pour boiling water over it and let it soak for 5 minutes or cook it in an aluminum-free pan.

The loofah sponge is compostable.

Maintenance of your natural sponge

A natural sponge is incredibly durable and can last a very long time if you take care of it.

And you do that if you make sure to rinse it thoroughly after use, so that all soap residue is out of the sponge.

Then let the sponge dry. Avoid twisting the sponge - this can damage it. Instead, squeeze the water out of it.

If you use your sponge often, it will benefit from a salt water solution for 24 hours once a week.

Use approx. 125 gr. salt per liters of water for it. Then rinse it thoroughly and let it dry.

Loofah sponge from Mellow Mind

It is a sponge that nature itself has produced. It originates from an unbleached and dried squash-like fruit called Loofah (or in Danish, Luffa). The fruit can be eaten, but can also be dried and become this brilliant multi-functional natural sponge for either the kitchen or the bath.

The loofah sponge is a really nice scrubber.

It can be used in the bath to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells.

But it can also be used in the kitchen (cut it in half if necessary) and be used for your dishes.

Finally, it is actually also very good as a soap holder (if you also cut it into smaller pieces right here)

The loofah sponge can be composted after use.
