Aleppo soap is a unique and historic soap with roots back to ancient Syria, specifically the city of Aleppo, where it has been manufactured for more than 4000 years. What makes Aleppo soap truly special is its simple, natural ingredients and traditional manufacturing process, which has remained unchanged for centuries.
This mild, foaming soap was traditionally used in Syrian baths, originally established by the Romans, and the Crusaders brought the knowledge of its manufacture back to Europe. This long ripening period gives Aleppo soap its characteristic green core, surrounded by a brownish crust, as well as exceptional durability and mildness.
Aleppo soap consists mainly of two ingredients: olive oil and laurel oil. The olive oil acts as a mild and moisturizing base, while the laurel oil gives the soap its antibacterial, antiseptic and soothing properties. The soap is therefore known to be effective against skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis and acne.
Aleppo soap is known for its skin-friendly properties and is suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. It is 100% natural and contains no artificial additives, parabens or perfumes.
Aleppo soap is ideal for daily use for all skin types. Use it for the face, body and intimate areas as well as for hair washing. When used for hair care, it is recommended to supplement with a natural conditioner with an acidic pH value for best results.
