When you wash wool, the wool's natural lanolin is slowly washed out. Therefore, it is important to use a detergent that not only cleans, but also adds lanolin and helps preserve the wool's heat-insulating and water-repellent properties. This is precisely what makes Tierra Verde’s liquid detergent for wool absolutely ideal.
Natural soap power from soap nuts
This detergent is based on saponin – a natural, soap-like substance extracted from soapberry (Sapindus Mukorossi). When the soap berries come into contact with hot water (above 30 °C), the saponin is released, which dissolves dirt and removes impurities, just like conventional detergents – but without chemistry.
Use
- Use 30 ml per wash (approx. 1 capful) for 4-5 kg ??of laundry
- For very dirty clothes or hard water: increase the dose to up to 60 ml or add a capful of descaler
- For white laundry, you can add a few spoonfuls of PUER bleach
- For hand washing: Use approx. 15 ml for a washing tub
- Use bile soap or a vegan stain remover block for stubborn stains
- Avoid washing below 30 °C, as otherwise the saponin will not be optimally activated

How to use your Sensitive Wash
Byoms SENSITIVE WASH can be used for both hand wash and machine wash at various temperatures from 30 degrees.
Use as regular detergent. Note that it is superconcentrated - be careful not to overdose, as it can reduce washing quality.
For normal washing, use only 20 ml. For very dirty clothes or very hard water, use 25-30 ml.
If there is a very strong odour in the clothes, we recommend soaking them in this detergent first.
Always ensure to follow the care instructions on the clothing.

Use bile soap or a natural stain remover before washing.

Do not use ordinary fabric softener – it reduces the functional properties of the garment. Instead, use Tierra Verde's rinse for natural fibers to neutralize the pH and remove soap residue.

Detergent of soap nuts from Tierra Verde

This variant is unscented (but you can add a little essential oils, if you like:-))
This detergent is based on saponin from soapnuts/soapberries, which grow on the Sapindus Mukorosse tree. The wash nuts are, as it were, berries, from which the nuts have been separated. So soap nuts are actually a misleading term, because only the berry is used for soap.
The soap berries contain an organic substance called saponin. Saponin has an ability to dissolve and remove dirt. It is released on contact with water above 30° and works like soap.The 850 gr. enough for approx. 57 washes
You only need to use approx. 15 gr. powder per wash (with a 4-5 kg ??machine.)
The detergent is suitable for colored clothes. It does not contain bleach
How do you use this detergent?
- Doses approx. 15 gr. per wash (for 4-5 kg ??laundry)
- Wash preferably at a minimum of 40 degrees so that the detergent is most effective. Washing at cold temperatures requires a lot of chemistry or mechanical work
- If your clothes are stained or very dirty, you can advantageously treat them with stain remover well in advance. For example this brilliant bile soap or this spot remover block if you wanted a vegan alternative
- If you have very hard water, you should either increase the dose to up to 30 gr. or add a capful of descaler to the sink
- For hand washing, dose approx. 7.5 gr. detergent for a wash tub
The powder is not suitable for fleece materials as it can reduce its absorbency
