How to use a DE safety razor

If you haven't tried a safety razor - or a DE scraper like this one, then you probably just have to get used to using it. And your skin probably needs it too.
But follow this procedure - and you're pretty much on your way:
- Moisten skin and beard/hair with warm water
- Use shaving foam or a shaving brush and lather it up well - possibly. with a brush
- Check your scraper and make sure the scraper head and handle are not loose. However, only tighten the screw if it is loose. Then you are sure that the blade is at the right angle
- Start your shave and hold the scraper at a 30 degree angle to the skin
- Let the scraper slide over the skin with light pressure
- Shave only in the direction of the hairs - not against the hairs
- Tighten the skin in places where it can be difficult to get a flat surface - e.g. on the neck

Can a Safety Razor also be used by women?
The short answer is: YES!
The Safety Razor also works well for shaving the body.
Even though Mühle's package insert states that it should only be used on the face. But Mühle's products are sold all over the world, so they have probably chosen to be extra careful with their recommendations for that reason.
As long as you are careful with the shave, just as you would be if it were on the face, then you can easily use it on the body too.
