How do you use a Safety Razor?
If you haven't tried a safety razor - or a DE scraper like this one, then you probably just have to get used to using it. And your skin probably needs to too.
But follow this procedure - and you're pretty much on your way:
- Moisten skin and beard/hair with warm water
- Use shaving foam or a shaving brush and lather it up well - possibly. with a brush
- Check your scraper and make sure the scraper head and handle are not loose. However, only tighten the screw if it is loose. Then you are sure that the blade is at the right angle
- Start your shave and hold the scraper at a 30 degree angle to the skin
- Let the scraper slide over the skin with light pressure
- Shave only in the direction of the hairs - not against the hairs
- Tighten the skin in places where it can be difficult to get a flat surface - e.g. on the neck
Can a Safety Razor also be used by women?
The short answer is: YES!
The Safety Razor also works well for shaving on the body.
Even though Mühle's leaflet says that it should only be used on the face. But Mühle's products are sold all over the world, so they have probably chosen to be extra careful with their recommendations for that reason. As long as you are careful with the shave, just as you would be if it were on the face, then you can easily use it on the body too.

How to use a DE safety razor

- Maintain an angle of about 30° and use very light pressure – let the weight do the work.
- Start in the direction of the hair; rinse frequently.
- If necessary, take an extra light pass across.

Reviews
Det er min første safety razor, men jeg tror at det var det rigtige valg. Jeg forventede en kamp for at vænne mig til den, da de fleste advarer at det kan være en blodig proces i starten, men jeg er i gang med min tredje klinge og har ikke skåret mig endnu :D Man må ikke skynde sig for meget med barbering, fordi man skal passe på at holde den korrekte vinkel, men det går er nemmere og hurtigere med hver barbering. De beskyttede hjørner og lidt aflanget håndtag er nok hvad gør den bedre end andre skrabere af denne type, hvis jeg skulle gætte. Jeg kunne godt tænke mig at grip kontrol var en smule bedre, men den er god nok. Jeg kan i hvert fald anbefale den til andre safety razor begyndere 😊
