Safety Razor

What is a Safety Razor?
A Safety Razor is a reusable razor. With it, you get rid of the expensive disposable plastic scrapers and thus save the environment from a sea of ??disposable packaging.

The Safety Razor can be used again and again and is, if you ask me, one of the most beautiful things to have in the bathroom. It is available in a sea of ??different materials, colors and designs, so there is definitely one for you too. What they all have in common is that they fit super well in the hand.

How is a classic DE Safety Razor used?

The special thing about a DE Safety Razor (which is the ones we have from Mühle) is that it has a fixed head and uses the classic razor blades that are sharp on both sides.
The Safety Razor does not have a flexible head, like many disposable razors and our Leaf Shave Razor has. That's why you have to take a little more time to shave than you might otherwise want.

The scraper is held for approx. 30 degree angle to the skin (it sounds technical, but this is probably what you already do today)

The scraper must only be moved over the skin once to remove stubble or hair.

This means that your shave will be much more comfortable and many also experience far fewer skin irritations.

How to use a Safety Razor with a flexible head?

If you are more into a Safety Razor that automatically follows the contours of your body, then you should consider a Leaf Shave Razor. It is very reminiscent of a disposable scraper, as it has a flexible razor head and is equipped with 3 blades. This makes the shave extra close.

And it actually does not require much more than you are probably used to. It is for everyone and everywhere on the body.

Can a Safety Razor also be used by women?

The short answer is: YES!

The Safety Razor also works well for shaving the body. Especially the razor from Leaf Shave, which has a flexible head and therefore follows the contours of the body.

As long as you are careful with the shave, just as you would be if it were on the face, you can easily use a Safety Razor for the body as well.

A scraper without hormone-disrupting substances

Did you know that many disposable scrapers have a lubra tip, which should make shaving easier and care the skin?

You may know the feeling after shaving. The scraper has left something soft on the skin.

However, the Lubra tip may contain the substance BHT, which has been shown to be hormone-disrupting.

So when you choose a Safety Razor, you automatically steer clear of potential endocrine-disrupting substances. It means a lot to me anyway.
