If it is necessary to wash your Cocoon kapok product, follow the instructions below. A Cocoon kapok quilt can be washed at 60 °C - however, we recommend 40 °C to spare the product as much as possible, and for a more environmentally friendly wash. For the best possible result, it is also recommended to use a tumble dryer to dry the product.

Upon receipt of the quilt In order to preserve the fiber structure and the properties of the fiber as best as possible, we recommend that you only wash your kapok quilt if strictly necessary. Your Cocoon kapok quilt has neither been dyed, treated with chemicals or contains synthetic materials, and you therefore do not need to wash your new kapok quilt before use. In addition, kapok contains a natural bitter substance, which makes the fiber and thus the kapok duvet antibacterial and resistant to house dust mites. It is therefore not necessary to wash the kapok duvet, unless there has been a major accident in the bed. For minor stains, we recommend that you simply spot wash the duvet, in order to spare the duvet as much as possible. We recommend airing the kapok quilt approx. once a month or as needed to maintain the structure of your duvet and ensure a healthy and fresh sleeping environment.
