Size & Fit Guide
Hala Collective works hard to create supremely comfortable underwear with a great fit for many different body types and sizes. Even so, choosing the right size online can be tricky, so use this guide.
Step 1: Take your measurements
Always start here. Measure your waist and hips and compare with our size chart below.
Make sure the tape is horizontal and snug against your body, not too tight. Take your waist at the narrowest point, and your hip at the widest point of your hips or bum.
| Size | Waist (cm) | Hips (cm) |
| XS | 64-71 | 89-96 |
| S | 68-75 | 93-100 |
| M | 72-79 | 97-104 |
| L | 78-85 | 103-110 |
| XL | 84-93 | 109-118 |
| 2XL | 92-101 | 117-126 |
| 3XL | 100-109 | 125-134 |
| 4XL | 108-117 | 133-142 |
This step may be enough to find your size, but we recommend reading on.
Step 2: Consider your preferred fit
Some prefer a close fit, others like it a little looser. It’s personal preference, so consider going down or up a size depending on what you feel most comfortable in.
A common misconception is that period underwear must be tight to work. That’s not true. Many find tight underwear uncomfortable during their period, often due to bloating. You can comfortably choose a looser fit without worrying about leaks.
During product development, Hala noticed that many period knickers from other brands feel far too tight. They set out to change that with Hala underwear – and we think they succeeded.
