For many years we have been big fans of cloth napkins, menstrual cup and fabric tampons. But menstrual panties are so incredibly comfortable and easy to use that we simply have to share our excitement.
All our menstrual panties are (of course) organic and made of soft, breathable organic cotton that ensures maximum comfort all day. They are designed to be both practical, so you can feel safe and comfortable during your period.

Why organic menstrual panties?

When it comes to products that sit very close to the skin, it makes extra good sense to choose an organic alternative – and this applies especially to period panties. The skin is the body's largest organ and absorbs everything it comes into contact with. That's why it's safe to choose organic menstrual panties, where you avoid harmful chemistry and questionable dyes.

Our menstrual panties from Imse Vimse are made of soft, organic cotton and dyed according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100. This means you can be sure that your menstrual panties are free of harmful substances and comfortable to wear – all day.

The menstrual panties are designed for maximum comfort with a composition of 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane. This makes them both breathable and flexible, so you can move freely without compromising the fit.

Menstrual panties that can be used again and again

When you choose organic menstrual panties, you invest in a natural alternative that can be used again and again – and it makes a big difference, both for you and takes into account the environment.

Menstruation entails an enormous consumption of disposable products, which often end up directly in the bin. The average woman uses about 12,000 disposable pads or tampons during her lifetime. This corresponds to large amounts of waste that could have been avoided.

Since approximately 90% of a disposable sanitary pad consists of plastic, this means that millions of tonnes of plastic waste each year end up in nature or are incinerated – often with a heavy environmental impact as a result.

By switching to reusable menstrual panties, you not only reduce your waste, but also your dependence on disposable products that require large amounts of resources to produce.

In addition, menstrual panties give you a whole new freedom, where you don't have to remember to buy pads or tampons every month. With a pair of good menstrual panties in the drawer, you always have a solution close at hand – comfortable and economical in the long run.

Which menstrual panties should you choose?

We offer a wide selection of menstrual panties in different sizes, so you can find the perfect fit. Use our size guide here to choose the right size.

Once you've found your size, it's also important to consider your flow – i.e. how much you bleed. It varies from person to person and can also change during your period.

Therefore, it can be a good ideaé to have several pairs of menstrual panties in the drawer so that you always have the right level of absorbency available. Our light flow models can absorb approx. 10 ml, medium flow approx. 15 ml, and heavy flow (the high waist version) can absorb approx. 20 ml. In this way, you can easily adapt your menstrual panties to your cycle and ensure maximum comfort throughout the month.

Menstrual panties are not only practical during the day – they are also an ideal solution for the night. With their secure absorption and comfortable fit, you can sleep safely without worrying about leaks. Feel free to choose a heavy flow model for the night for extra security.

How to care for your period panties

To get the most out of your period panties, it is important to take good care of them. After use, we recommend rinsing them in cold water to remove blood residues before washing them in the machine at 30-40 degrees. Avoid fabric softener and dryers, as this can affect the absorbency of the panties. With the right care, your period panties can last for many years and remain a considerate alternative to disposable products.
