Chemical-free pearl plate coating

Chemical-free pearl plate coating

Pearls are wonderfully creative and we love playing with pearls at home.
It is actually rare that we iron them. Often they go back to the pearl box when we have done what we wanted – then they can be used again and again. But occasionally, of course, there are records that just have to be immortalized. And then the iron must come out.

But pearl plate ironing is not for children. Literally like that. So I take care of that part of the work – and it is done outdoors.
Because ironing pearl plates is not healthy. And that actually makes good enough sense when you think about it. After all, it is in principle plastic that evaporates – and which children and adults then inhale and absorb into the body.

Pearl panels must be ironed outdoors or in a well-ventilated room under a switched-on hood. And children should not be around.

Actually, I have had to pass on exactly the above information to our wonderful kindergarten. They also use pearl plates – and pearl plate ironing in style. The pearl plates were ironed en masse in the kindergarten's kitchen – without ventilation and with lots of children around. It had become a pleasant tradition. And they didn't know the consequences of that. Fortunately, they took the input so well and are now ironing the pearl plates in the kitchen with the door open and ventilation – and without children in the room.
